Chapter seven

Aaron's pov

" when we go back to Canada we should get a puppy. Look at how cute he is" Kiara pushed her phone into my face to show a video of a small white puppy jumping around in circles, waggling it's tail.

"You know I would love to but we are gonna be so busy. Don't you remember? I'll be interning at 'Googe' after the summer and you will probably be busy with photoshoots" I explained. After finishing business school my dad got in conatct with one of his friends who hooked me up with Google, one of the biggest companies worldwide. I wouldn't be starting until late September.

"Right yeah I forgot" I watched as Kiara's smile slowly faded as she scrolled past the video. I sighed and wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

"I promise we will get one someday just not now. OK?"

Her smile beamed as she nodded excitedely. "I'm going to hang with the girls" she announced. She pulled herself from my embrace and rose from the bed. "Don't miss me too much" she winked and left the room. Kiara and I were not meant to be something serious. We started dating a little after Sierra and I broke up. At first we were just fuck buddies but then it slowly became something more. I stopped by in the kitchen for an apple before heading into the living room where Josh and Justin were playing Fifa on the PS4.

"Where's everyone else?"I asked and at that exact moment I heard giggling followed by squealing from a room down the hall.

"Helping Sierra get ready for a date I think" Justin answered. He then stood up abruptly."How did he not score that?! I fucking hate this game" Justin screamed at the tv and threw the controller on the floor. I swear I nearly saw steam blowing out from his ears.

"Bro you're fucking lucky the floor is carpet and just admit it. You're team is shit" Josh yelled.

"She is seriously going on the date? I thought she said she wasn't going to bother?" I asked. They completely ignored me as they continued playing video games. I was brought out of my train of thought when I heard a knock at the door. "Dude go open it" Josh shouted with his eyes glued to the tv. I rolled my eyes and stood up. I opened the door and found a tall guy with light blonde hair and blue eyes standing in front of me.

"Uh I'm here for Sierra" he said peering over my shoulder to take peek into the apartment.

"And who the fuck are you?" I asked. I placed my hands on either side of the door to block his site of view.

He narrowed his eyes at me and stood up straighter. "I'm Jaden, her date"

This is her date. I choked back a laugh. I looked down at the rose clutched in his hand. She doesn't even like roses. I was about to open my mouth to speak when I heard Justin and Josh walk into the hallway from behind me. "Aaron let him in. This is Sierra's date" Josh explained. Justin opened the door futher and led him into the living room. I followed them into the living room and sat opppsite of them by the window. They started talking about fifa but I wasn't even remotely interested. I couldn't help but look Jaden up and down. Sierra hardly found this guy attractive. He wasn't even her type. Then again Olivia wasn't my type either and we've been together for over 3 years now.

Jaden suddenly stood up from the sofa and walked over to the living room entrance. I looked over to see what he was looking at and saw it was Sierra. My eyes dialated as I saw what she was wearing. I recognised that dress from anywhere. Olivia wore it a few months ago for a photoshoot. OliviaI is a little skinnier and taller but on Sieraa the dress still hugged her body perfectly...a little too perfectly.

Jaden handed her the rose and I watched as her face pulled up into a smile. I scoffed to myself because I knew for a fact that she didn't like it. "Thank you" she blushed. I rolled my eyes.

"I'll be back later. Don't miss me too much" she winked. As she went to close the door her eyes found mine staring at her. She continued staring at me. Her lips slightly parted and then she blinked. She broke our gaze and shut the door.

"I'm so excited to hear about it when she comes back. They look so cute together" Mia squealed and then girls left the hallway and into the kitchen to talk about how cute Sierra and Jaden would look together as a couple.

"Do they like each other or what?" I asked the boys as I took a seat on the couch. I reached to grab the PS4 remote control this time.

"I'm not sure about Sierra but Jaden has been crushing on her since freshman year of college" Josh answered. He picked up the second remote control and sat next to me.

By midnight everyone went to bed. Kiara was laying on my chest sleeping silently. I then heard the low rumble of a car outside and had a feeling that it was Sierra and Jaden. I gently wiggled my body from under Kiara, trying not to wake her up. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a glass of water and downed it before refiling it again. I heard the door open and then gently closed. She's back. I walked over to her and noticed she was staring the front door. I couldn't help but notice how good her ass looked in that dress. I quickly shook my head from the thought. Get a grip. You have a fucking girlfriend.

"I imagine it went well" I finally said. She gasped and turned around, holding a hand to her chest. I took a sip of my water and raised an eyebrow. God I love scaring her.

"What is wrong with you?" she whispered yelled. "Stop sneaking up on me"

I shrugged and walked back into the kitchen. I could hear following after me "Why is it so quiet?" she asked

"It's a little past midnight" I smuggly answered. "So how was it?" I found myself asking again.

"It was great. I actually had a lot of fun. He took me to this resturant called-"

Fuck this shit

"I'm actually really tired and I'm sure Olivia is wondering where I went " I interuppted. Her face fell slightly as she watched me carry the glass out of the kitchen with me.

"Ok well goodnight then"

"yeah goodnight" I mumbled

The following morning we were gathered around the kitchen table eating breakfast. "Look who finally decided to show up" Veronica announced as Sierra sat down by the table.

"Sorry I was so tired from last night" She groaned and laid her head down on the table.

"How did it go actually?" Mia asked. Sierra's head flew up with a big smile on her face. "It was amazing actually. He took me to this fancy resturant downtown. If you saw the prices you would walk out. It was that expensive" she laughed

"So Mr lover boy is rich?" Veronica smirked. Sierra just laughed and shook her head and continued talking about how exceptionally well her date went. My efforts of avoiding hearing how her date went was all in vain. I knew I couldn'tjust stand up and leave or everyone might think I still have feelings for her. Do you?

"Sounds like you had a great time" Kiara smiled.

"Yeah I did" Sierra smiled down at her bowl of cereal.

"Maybe now you can stop being the single one in the group" Josh laughed and ruffled her hair. She smacked his hand away and glared at him

"maybe" she shyly answered.

I don't know why but the thought made me mad. I turned to Kiara who was sipping on a cup of green tea. "That reminds me, I want to take you back to New Jersey, my hometown. I wanna show you where I grew up"

"Really?" Her eyes lit up in excitement. "Everytime I ask you, you always say no"

My eyes flickered to Sierra who was now sporting a frown and was stirring her cup of coffee. Perfect . "Yeah it will be fun. We could stay there for a day or two" I suggested

"I'd love to babe" and then she kissed me.
