Chapter seventeen

Sierra's pov

 I walked back into the living room where I found Jaden drinking some beer. I sighed and threw myself down on the couch beside him. "You ok?" he asked as he wrapped an arm around my shoulders. 

"Oh I'm so good. Ecstatic even. It hasn't even been a day and he's so jealous. You should have seen his face when I told him we are together!" I laughed 

"See? This boyfriend girlfriend thing isn't so bad now, is it?" Jaden chuckled 

"fake boyfriend- girlfriend" I corrected. He hummed and took a sip of his drink out of the red solo cup. 

"Boyfriend and girlfriend huh?" Aaron asked as he walked into the living room. He sat down in the arm chair across from us. I huffed and rolled my eyes in annoyance. "I should warn you. She can be quite a handful" he snickered.

I narrowed my eyes at him "What's that supposed to mean?" I scoffed.

Aarons flickered over to mine in mere amusement. "Nothing just stating facts" He shrugged.

"Good thing she's my girlfriend then" Jaden shot back. 

"What are we talking about?" Kiara asked as she walked into the room. She sat down on Aaron's lap and placed an arm around his shoulder. 

"Didn't you hear babe? Sierra and Jaden are dating now" 

"No way!" she screamed. "I told you it was going to happen sooner rather than later" she pointed out turning to Aaron. "We should definetly go on a double date sometime. It would be so much fun" Kiara suggested. I think I'd rather walk across a path of flamming hot rocks than go on double date with them. 

"That's a great idea. How about dinner tomorrow?" Aaron proposed but there was something in his voice that led me to believe he had something up his sleeve. 

"sure-"

"No-" 

I snapped my head over to Jaden with widened eyes as we spoke at the same time. "No, we can't tomorrow but thanks for the offer" I answered as polietly as possible. 

"Why not?" Aaron asked with raised eyebrows. I knew he knew I was making up excuses.

"uhh..." I started. I then looked back at Jaden for help. Thankfully he picked up on it quickly. 

 "because we have that thing tomorrow afternoon with my parents" he immediately answered. 

"Exactly. Yeah I'm meeting his parents. I'm nervous but excited, so.."

"That's exciting but your parents live in town right?" Kiara asked. Jaden nodded. "Well thats fine we could still go out for dinner plus I really want to try out this chineese resturant downtown"

I opened my mouth to protest again but this time Jaden beat me to it. "We'll be there" 

I had to refrain from the sudden urge to drop my mouth open and gape at Jaden. I can barely sit in a room with Aaron without us arguing and now I have to sit through dinner with him?

"Ahh I'm so excited" Kiara squealed and clapped her hands together. 

"Yeah so excited" I murmmered. "If you'll excuse me I need to go find the birthday girl" I planted a kiss on Jaden's cheek before walking into the kitchen. 

The minute I walked into the hallway I released a breath I didn't even realise I was holding in. I found Mia and Veronica taking polaroids on Mia's new poloraid camera. When they spotted me their eyes lit up. "Sierra! Get in here. This thing is so cool" 

I laughed and made my way over. We struck some funny and questionable poses. "I can't wait to put these up on my wall. They are so cute" Mia smiled as she shuffled through the photos. 

"So you and Jaden huh?" Veronica smirked as she wiggled her eyebrows up and down at me. Her eyes then settled on something behind me. "Speaking of"

"So hows the newest couple doing" Veronica asked. I was about to answer but Jaden beat me to it.

"Couldn't be happier" He replied smiling down at me. I smiled back at him and rested my head on his shoulder. 

Awwwww you guys are so cute" Mia squealed.

"Anyways I just wanted to let you know that I think I'm gonna head off. I usually go to the gym early enough in the mornings and its getting kinda late" 

"Oh" I faltered. I was hoping he would stick around a little longer so we could make Aaron more jealous. I guess there's always tomorrow. 

"Walk me out?" he asked holding his hand out for me. I placed my hand in his and walked with him to his car. "Pretty sucessful day as boyfriend and girlfriend don't you think?" 

"Fake boyfriend and girlfriend but yeah...well except for the fact that we have that double date tomorrow" I sighed.

"It's just dinner" he shrugged "What could go wrong?"

I looked at him as if he had just grown two heads. "What could go wrong? Seriously? I mean-" I was cut off when Jaden stepped closer to me. He tucked a strand of hair that was blowing around my face. "What are you doing?" I whispered

"Don't turn around but Lover boy is watching us" he whispered back. Now I really wanna turn around. He then leaned down to my ear. "Still wanna make him jealous?" I immediately nodded. "Good just follow my lead. Start giggiling" I looked at him with a weird expression. "Just do it" I started giggling like he said something extradorinarliy funny. "I'm gonna kiss you now but if you don't want to-" It was now my turn to cut him off. I stepped up onto my tippy toes and pressed my lips against him. I was very thankfull that he was a good kisser. 

"Is he still there?" Jaden's eyes flickered up and over my head and shook his head. "Good" I lowered myself down onto my heels. "I'll uh see you tomorrow then" 

"Goodnight Sierra" and then lowered himself into his car and drove off. I let out a big breath and made my way back into the house.
