Y/N — you were present with the Warrior Unit and had the privilege of undergoing some training with their cadets, so Zeke allowed me to entrust you with helping out the volunteer engineers by showing Hange and their troops the new military technology.

Things are alright here in camp, though you can bet that the next fleet of survey ships are coming soon and the Titan shifters will have to return here to get them out. Construction of the port is doing well too. In the meantime, you're tasked to help them out with the grenades. Hope that's good with you.

Yelena

"Explosives, huh..." you muttered under your breath as you set down Yelena's short letter back onto your desk.

There was another envelope sealed shut for you, addressed to some random residence in Hizuru. You almost chuckled humorlessly when you it dawned onto you how big of a lie you were actually living to those back in Marley. Your shoulders hunched a little from the guilt.

Nevertheless, you were curious and wanted to hear about what the goings-on in the world across the sea had been recently. So, you opened the letter that had been sent from the Grice residence.

Dear Y/N,

It's been such a long time since we had last seen each other, and you did tell me that you would be pretty fine with receiving a word from Liberio. So, I thought you would be happy to hear from me, and that it would be good for me to write to see how everything is for you.

How are you doing? I hope you made it to Hizuru safely, and that they're treating you well. It must be really exciting, being in a foreign country. I'd love to hear about what you've been up to these past few weeks. I've been thinking about you all the time, wondering how life has been like for you. You had worried that you would be alone in your new place, but you should know that you're always welcome with open arms back here.

Nothing much has changed around here in Liberio, just regular Warrior cadet training and whatnot. Gabi has been upping her sharpshooting game while Falco has been trying his hand at hand-to-hand combat. Zofia and Udo are in their own world, but I think they've been brushing up on their knowledge in the classroom although I think that Zofia does a little better.

I have some great news to share with you: Commander Magath and the rest of the Warriors have decided that I'm going to be the next captain of the Warrior Unit soon! I can't believe it. I wish you were here so I could tell you about how ecstatic I am about the plans they have for me. I do miss waiting for you outside the hospital while you finished your shifts, and it was quite nice walking you home in the streets of Liberio.

I miss you, and that lovely smile of yours that makes the room seem to brighten a little more. After all, it's not very often I get to hang out with a girl my age.

I can't wait to see you again, and I hope that you can write back soon.

Waiting for you,
Colt Grice

Oh, Colt, you thought. If only you could see me now. Strengthening your enemy nation's military.

You would find time to write back to him soon, only you didn't know when. You'd have to come up with some sort of interesting lie saying something about whatever the made-up activity you had been doing in Hizuru these past few weeks. Perhaps you would tell him that you'd been wading around the seashore, fishing for food in your free hours.

You put on your green military coat and fixed your hair. You were already wearing your boots, but you considered wearing a cloak for extra warmth.

There was a sharp knock at the door, and the next thing you knew, you heard Sasha's voice calling out for you.
