NOTE: The is an alternate universe that still takes place on Cybertron. Buildings and such are still made out of alloys and metals, but a "wild west" and "cowboys" exist.  Also, some characters are going to behave differently than they do in the original Transformers universes.

Our feet churned through the thick, powdery talc sand, and the pale sediment was warmed graciously from the dual suns flaming above. Bumblebee sprinted at my side, and his yellow armor was now stained white from the clouds of minerals soaring through the air. Sunstreaker gave up escaping the pursuing the dust storm via alt mode, and he emitted the iconic transformation sound as he took to traveling on foot. I tightened the thick chin strap of my hat around my head, trying to stop the vicious winds from sucking it away. We are Cybertronian so being sunburnt is unheard of, but I use it to glare through the strong sunrays easier.

"There, there!" Chromia cawed, her voice shrill with excitement.

I followed my trade cognoscente's pointing finger, and I spotted the ominous protective wall she was gesturing to. I'd never seen something like it before, and the dome atmosphere of an environment regulator rippled above whatever laid inside the walls.

"Come on, good folks, run!" Ironhide pulled ahead, and we stumbled desperately after him.

The violent flow of adrenaline made the final dash feel like it only lasted seconds, and Ironhide rapidly slammed his black, robust fists upon the tall gates.

"Let us in!" I cried, my vocal processor straining.

The chug of gears cracked through the filthy air, and I could clearly hear the roiling storm approaching, hungry to swallow us. The bold sunrays broke through the splitting doors, and we slipped inside as sharp particles of rocks patter against our beaten heels. The gates bolted themselves together once more.

"Thank y-" I began, but a hefty male blacksmith immediately seized my slender arms, and he slammed me upon the ground.

The rest of my team was taken down quickly, and Bee stared at me with wide, cerulean eyes, squeaking with fear. I sent him a small wink, telling him to just remain calm, and a pair of hefty blue feet waltzed up to me. I strained my optics upwards, but I could only see a sunny silhouette of whoever had joined us.

"Let them go! What's the matter with you all?" he barked, and his tone was silky like the sand pushing against my smooth cheeks.

The ruffian grumbled something to himself before he released me, and I hastily darted to my feet, my twin pistons removed from their holsters. The newcomer's face was now clearly visible, and his thick lips pulled into a welcoming, yet daring, grin. He tenderly slid his fingers over my palm, and he pulled my limb up before putting a small peck on the back of my limp hand.

"My apologies, Miss...?

"Arcee."

"My apologies, Miss Arcee. They can get spooked sometimes."

I jerked my hand away, disgusted. I hate people who have no sense of personal boundaries. "And you are?"

"Overlord. Mayor Overlord to be exact. And Sheriff Overlord."

I remained quiet, unsure of how to handle the ominous presence of the town's leader, and he slipped a strong hand around my shoulder. Overlord guided me away from my compatriots, and I attempted to dig my small heels into the ground.

"Do not fret, my dear Arcee. They will be fine. Wanna drink?"
