                                                            The next day

Mari opened her eyes, not sure where she was.

“Wha, where am I?”

“My place,” Sohinki said coming from the kitchen with plates with pancakes and bacon on them.

“Why, what happened last night?”

“You fell asleep and Ian and Anthony drove us here and I just thought, you know, yeah.”

“Thanks.” He handed her a plate of food.

“We should get you home so you can change, and then go to the office.”

“It’s gonna be so awkward between me and David.”

“I doubt it, but what I know.” Mari laughed the laugh that Sohinki loved to hear. It was soft and gentle.

“We should go,” he said.

“Oh you’re right.”
