Indeed, everything happens for a reason,
Remember the day when I bumped into you?
Who would have thought that it will be the start of us?
You just caught my attention, love,

Clingy as it seems,
But our story started in a very unexpected way,
Running fast to my classroom,
I’m glad I was late that time,

I thought I will not see you again,
It makes me extremely sad,

We became friends,

Became each other companions to cry and to lean on,
Comfort in each other problems, worries, and miseries,

Slowly did we know,
We became dependent on each other,

Friends with romantic feelings, I must say,

In denial at first, But as time goes by,
We learned to recognize our feelings,
Without a second thought,
I courted you,

Until we became a couple,
A couple they predicted we become,
And a couple we did not expect we became,
They said we are an example of a perfect couple,

You are so understanding,
A thoughtful girlfriend,
A perfect wife-to-be,
An answered prayer,

Years passed by,
Our relationship never got tiring,
A roller-coaster ride of a journey,
Made our relationship even stronger,

Not until an unexpected moment came,
We fought a really big fight,
I became a coward,
I got tired,

Tired of fighting our relationship,
Clouded by anger and doubts,
I did not let you speak,
Until we decided to continue our lives— separately,

The time came,
Our planned wedding happens,
The door opened,
And revealed the prettiest woman I ever met,

Wearing your wedding gown,
Indeed, you look perfect tonight,
As you marched forward,
I cannot help my tears to drop,

Tears of both happiness and loneliness,
Happiness, because finally you are getting married,
Loneliness, since I am no longer the man you will spend your life with,
But with the man who stood beside me,

Our dream wedding happened,
But I no longer your groom,
And you no longer be my bride,
It hurts,

Just like a typical dream,
Not everything ends up as planned,
And ours is one of those,
When I woke up, I no longer got a hold of you,

It sucks,
Thought of you embraced by another man, hurts,
I should have known better,
I should not have let you go,

We promised,
To spend our life with each other,
