EMBRACING INDIVIDUALITY: SCARS OF THE PAST

Dancing ocean waves,
Music the birds produce,
Trees standing firm, tall and proud
Symbolizing a braver soul among the crowd,

Now they open the gate of opportunities,
Preparing it for a special guest,
As they welcome a new day to spend,
Here she is, offering her warmest trend,

She used to be a loner,
Staying alone in a far corner,
Afraid of being the bully's subject,
So every time someone will approach her, she freak,

She distanced herself from everyone,
To protect her inner peace, as much as she can,
She learned to embrace her alone time,
So in life, she became independent, doing no crime,

A girl who experienced the world's wrath,
But still, an optimistic individual who gave anxious people some pat,
She is kind and gentle,
Just being here, for being real,

A rose in a midst of a desert island, you can say,
But amidst the cruelties, she survives, you see,
Experiencing failures in life fears her no more,
She experienced it once and it made her stronger than before,

She used to hate her flaws and imperfections,
But as the time passes by on rotations,
She learns how to brace them,
With her wide open arms, she rested them all up in her realms,

Despite the scars she had,
Or the wounds she used to carry all around, no longer seem that bad,
She carries it now wholeheartedly,
With acceptance, she says,

A weak person she was,
Still exists, but in the furthest corner of her heart, hush,
She is now turning lady in a year,
So in life, she always use to be positive for she cares,

What the future holds,
Or the life restored for her to be molded in this world,
Worries her no more,
She already trusted the One she knew who will take good care of her and will never abandon her forevermore,

Gone are those fake smiles,
Her painful cries,
The burdens she carries,
Now feels a little less heavy,

In this life called game,
Opportunities finally came,
Slaying became her habit,
After reigning the stage she created,

No more throwing tantrums,
She already found her home,
No more silly thoughts of danger,
She already found her people, someone who cares,

Embracing her imperfections,
Carrying that confidence to the nation,
She can no longer be stepped on,
For she is now a fighter, sitting on her throne,

Smiling ears to ears,
Wiping those tears,
She came this far,
Not only to come this far,

With dedication, effort, and faith,
She experienced success' beat,
Finally, she made it,
Opening the blessings' gate,

She smiled once again,
Remembering her experiences during the pouring rain,
She nailed it,
Bring it.
