English had ended, and I was at my locker.

"Zayna," I heard to my right. I turn around to find Ali walking towards me.

"What?" I said, turning back around towards my locker, finally getting it to open.

"I have football practice starting tomorrow, and soccer is starting soon." He said, opening his locker quickly.

I sigh, putting my notebook up. "What are you trying to say, Akram?"

"What I'm trying to say, Seif, is that I can't help with the project after today."

I close my locker and turn towards him. "So I'm doing it all alone now?" I asked, crossing my arms leaning against my locker.

"Well if you want, we can finish it today?" He stated, but it came out as a question.

"Yeah, and you expect us to finish in a day, genius?" He nods. "Seems that you forgot how lazy you are," I said, rolling my eyes.

"Okay, how about we meet during lunch, and at the end of the day? So we could have more time like that." Before I could open my mouth to speak, he continued. "And I promise I will try and do my work."

I narrowed my eyes at him. "Okay..."

"See you later!" He said, closing his locker and going on to his next class.

I shook my head and made my way to class.

"You're going to leave me alone at lunch," Nasreen pouts.

"You have Hayley, and Sara with you," I reminded her as we made it to her locker.

She huffs, "you're ditching me for Ali."

Wanting to annoy her, I said, "yeah, basically."

She gasps, "Zayna!" She slaps my arm, but I was too busy laughing at her expression.

"You're so mean," she grumbles and closes her locker.

I slung my arm over her shoulders, "but you love me."

We continue towards the cafeteria, "yeah, yeah." She smiles. Her eyes then suddenly lightened up, and she looked at me.

"What are you thinking?" I asked suspiciously.

"Since I'm the best best friend..."

"I could argue with that statement," I tease, and she playfully glared at me. "But continue."

"I will personally join you when you go to the library." She said smugly.

"And why is that exactly?" I asked, confused.

She puts a hand to her chest, "you think, I'm going to leave you alone with Ali. And in the same room. The Shaytan is third party, we don't want things happening, now do we?"

I roll my eyes, "I'd love the company, but the reason you're coming for is just bizarre. What's going to happen except Ali complaining every 3 seconds about how he's bored?"

She shrugs and turns around. "And there he is," she said, pointing to where Ali was walking towards us.

"So the library?" He asked me.

"Yeah, come on Nas." I grabbed her by the wrist and walked towards that library.

"Wait, why is she coming?" He asked, opening the library door.
