"Get up," I said, throwing the pillow at Nasreen's face.

She groaned, "5 more minutes."

"Fine, the hard way it is," I muttered to myself. I grabbed the blanket off of her and turned on the lights. Cruel, I know.

She clenched her eyes shut burying her head into the pillow. "Zayn!" She yelled, her voice muffled into the pillow.

"Whoops," I laughed, running out of her room and to the bathroom.

The good thing was that I didn't have to put on my hijab. Nasreen's dad always left before sunrise for work and she didn't have any siblings. So I didn't have to worry about covering my hair before running away from her wrath.

I washed my face and teeth. Last night Nasreen had given me a tooth brush to borrow. I go back to Nasreens room and Nasreen sleepily got up and went to the bathroom. I changed into yesterday's clothes and texted Hala to get me an extra pair of clothing from my room so I could change in the school bathroom.

"Ugh, I'm so tired," Nasreen grumbled grabbing a pair of jeans and long sleeve shirt.

"I can tell," I chuckled.

"You texted Hala?" She asked walking back to the bathroom outside of her room.

"Yeah!" I called out. She called back an okay in response.

I pulled my messy hair into a bun and pulled my undercap on. Looking at my face in the mirror the bruise was still showing on my cheek. It wasn't as noticeable just a tad yellow now. I still had bags under my eyes.

"Move a bit," Nasreen said pushing me. I laughed but moved. She pulled her long luscious black hair into a bun. She then grabbed her concealer and put a little under her eyes and dabbing it on smoothly. "Thank God for concealer," she said.

"Let me see it," I said. She handed it to me. "This is to dark for me," I whined.

"Can't Hala bring your concealer?" Nasreen asked putting on mascara now.

"You're a genuis," I grinned and grabbed my phone.

"I've been knowing that," Nasreen chuckled.

I rolled my eyes and texted Hala.

Z: Can you grab my concealer from my room plz?

She responded quickly.

H: okay

I sighed and grabbed my hijab. Wrapping it around my head I waited until Nasreen was done.

"Hurry up," I groaned.

"Be patient," she said pinning her hijab over her shoulder. "Let's grab something to eat then go." She said grabbing her bookbag.

I walked out after her.

"Good morning mama," Nasreen greeted, grabbing two yogurts.

"Good morning Khalto," I said taking the yogurt from Nasreen.

"Good morning," she smiled at us.

"We're gonna go ahead and go mama," Nasreen said.

"Take care!" Nasreen mom called out as we walked to the front door.

"Okay!" We called back and laughed.

"Oh my God, where is she?" I asked for the hundredth time.
