" Wow, that's super cool." I say, looking at his new device.

" I know, Todd's really good."

" He seems to be." I say. Todd's a nice guy, I rarely talk to him though.

" Guys, I'm getting lonely!" Larry yells.

" Well come on, let's go show Larry your Gear Boy." I say. We both climb back up into the treehouse, and see Larry staring at something. Sal grabs his attention but I look over at what he was focused on. A picture of his dad. Poor Larry. We leave him alone for 5 minutes and he found himself sad again.

" Holy shit bro, that's cool." Larry says, a smile on his face as he looks at the Gear Boy.

" The Gear Boy itsef has trouble working but yeah, still pretty cool."

" I'm sure we can fix it." Larry says.

" Yeah, Todd probably just wasn't focused on making it playable."

" I met this girl when I went up there. Ashley." Sal says

" I love Ash! She's cool, isnt she?" I say

" You know her?"

" Yeah, she's one of my closest friends."

" Right, me and her are pretty close too." Larry says

" Thats cool.. Ash seems great. She's like, really pretty." Sal says.

" Someone has a crush on Ashley?" Larry teases Sal. Sal awkwardly laughs and nervously scratches at his neck.

" Someone's not denying it." Larry continues to tease. I, for some reason, feel a lump in my throat.

" Well I'm going to head back to my apartment. Sal, give me updates on how the Gear Boy is coming along." I tell them.

" Alright, I will." Sal says. I smile at him before climbing down and making my way to my apartment. Why the hell did I feel like that? So upset? So.. jealous?
