*Your POV*
It has been several months since both Harry and I's names came out of the goblet. We both had luckily gotten through the first task without much harm. The Triwizard tournament is coming up, and I've been trying to pluck up the courage to ask Cho, although I chicken out every time.
"Hey, (Y/N)." Cho said, sitting next to me at the breakfast table.
"Hey, Cho." I responded, looking up from my plate.
The Great Hall was mostly empty, since it was pretty early. Only a handful of students were scattered across the tables.
"Do you have a date to the ball yet?" She asked.
"No, do you?" I asked, causing her to shake her head.
Might aswell go for it now.
"Would you like to go to the ball with me, then?" I asked nervously.
Cho smiled brightly at me.
"Of course!" She exclaimed excitedly.
She pressed a kiss to my cheek before turning back to her food.
That afternoon, we were in the library trying to finish our homework. Leave it to Cho Chang and (Y/N) Potter to wait until the day before it was due.
"Finally!" I exclaimed, throwing down my quill.
Cho laughed at my excitement. Cedric Diggory walked up to our table.
"Cho, will you go to the ball with me?" He asked.
"I already have a date, sorry." Cho said.
Cedric walked away grumpily and I couldn't help but laugh.
"He's hot." I said, still laughing.
"Yeah, but you're hotter." Cho said with a wink.
It was a week before the Yule Ball when my idiot brother desides to ask Cho to the Ball. She gave him the same answer as she had given Cedric. Harry had walked away, red in the face.
The day of the ball, I met Cho in the commonroom.
"You look gorgeous." She said, smiling at me.
"So do you." I replied, grabbing her hand and leading her to the Great Hall.
Everyone else had already gone in. We walked in just as the champions started their dance.
"Merlin, he's terrible." I mumbled, just loud enough for Cho to hear, as I watched Harry dance.
"He is pretty bad." Cho agreed, wincing as Harry stepped on his partner's toes for the millionth time.
Several other people joined the champions on the dance floor.
"May I have this dance?" I asked, extending my hand towards Cho.
"You may." She giggled, grabbing my hand.
We walked onto the dance floor, swaying to the music.
"Your brother's watching us." Cho said, glancing over my shoulder.
"Screw him." I said, rolling my eyes.
Cho laughed, leaning in to press a kiss to my lips. I instantly kissed back. When we pulled away, both Harry and Cedric stormed out of the Great Hall, jealousy etched on their faces. Oops.
