"What is this, A funeral?!" The woman said. "Zenin-senpai" Megumi said. "Don't you dare call me by my last-" The woman was interrupted by someone calling her name. "He really did die. It happened yesterday! A first year boy!" One voice said.  "Fish flakes!" the other said. The three continued to argue. "Who are those people?" Nobara asked. "Our school's upperclassmen." Megumi answered.  He introduced them.  Maki Zenin, a cursed tool user. Inumaki Toge, a cursed speech user that only uses rice ball ingredients as some form of communication, and panda. There's another second year, Okkotsu Yuta who's currently abroad right now.

"You gonna elaborate on panda? or he is just you know, a panda?" Nobara asked. "Sorry 'bout this, especially during this sad time, but we want you guys to participate in the Kyoto Sister-School Goodwill Event." Panda said. "Kyoto Sister-School Goodwill Event?" Nobara asked. The three first years stood up. "It's a goodwill event with the other Jujutsu High in Kyoto." Megumi answered. "But, isn't it usually second and third years who participate?" He added. "That idiot third year is suspended right now,  we don't have enough people so, you guys are in."  Maki said.

"What do we do in the event? Smash bros...?" Nobara asked. Panda then explained about what will happen in the 2 days of the event. On the first day, it's a team event and on second day, it's an individual event. "Individual and team events against other jujutsu sorcerers?!' Nobara exclaimed. "Yup! A jujutsu battle where "no killing" is the only rule. " Maki said. "We'll make sure to get you guys in tip-top shape so you won't die." Panda chimed in.  "Do we have the time? We're low on jujutsu sorcerers, right?"  Nobara asked. "People's depression during the winter and spring seasons manifests as curses in huge quantities during the summer. It's busy season, so to speak." Maki answered. "There are times when it's busy all year, it's probably gonna calm down a little though." she added.  "So," Maki said. "You're in right? Do it for your fallen friend." She added. "We're in." The three first years said in unison. "But if I think both the training and event are pointless, I'm out." Megumi said. Both girls agreed. "Heh, It should be fun putting you guys in your place." Maki said.

"Well, training's better as a distraction. Anything else won't work." Aiko said to herself. "Hey, what's your name?" Maki asked. "Masuda Aiko." she replied. "So, you're the Masuda clan's lost child?" Maki asked. "The Masuda clan's lost what now?" Aiko asked in confusion. She didn't think she was from a whole clan of sorcerers. "Hold on, please tell me who the hell the Masuda clan is and how I'm related to them." Aiko said, very confused. Her mother didn't tell her anything about her other family members and now she just finds out about a whole clan. "Well, I don't know much about them but I only know about someone in the family running away with a child, I dunno the detail though." Maki said. "I thought you knew though." she added. "I definitely do not." Aiko said scratching the back of her head.

"For someone who has no fighting experience, you're fairly strong." Maki said as she hit her weapon at Aiko who managed to block it. This went on for a couple of minutes. Those couple minutes consisted of Aiko trying to hit Maki but getting hit instead, Aiko just blocking the attack the best way she can and her actually landing a hit which she apologized for. "Alright, you should go take a break." Maki said. Aiko nodded and walked off somewhere in the grassy areas and laid down. She had to process what she was told. Something about her being the clan's lost child? Or whatever that was. She definitely didn't expect to learn about all this. "Okay, this is hella confusing." she said and continued to stare at the clouds.  She was enjoying a bit of peace and quiet until the sun was blocked by someone. "You ok?" Nobara asked looking down at her. "Yeah, just a bit scratched that's all." Aiko answered.

"I wish we had more vending machines." Nobara complained. Aiko nodded in agreement. "Not gonna happen, we're strict with who we do business with." Megumi said. "Oh yeah, forgot about that." Aiko said. Nobara then stood up. The three heard some footsteps and looked to see two people.  "Why are you here, Zenin-senpai?" Megumi asked. "I knew it, they have a similar vibe." Nobara said. Aiko hummed in agreement. "Oh Fushiguro, isn't that what you call Maki? Call me Mai." The woman spoke. "So these are the replacements for Okkotsu and the third year?" the muscular guy said. "We were worried, so we tagged along." Mai said. "I heard your classmate died, must've been tough." she added. "Or maybe it wasn't" she said. "What are you getting at?" Megumi asked. "You definitely aren't worried." Aiko said. She was a getting pissed since Mai's tone seemed as if she was mocking Yuuji. "It's okay, some things are hard to put in words, so I'll do it for you." Mai continued talking. "'Vessel' sounds harmless but, he was basically a half-curse monster." she said. "Such a vile facade of a human was calling himself a jujutsu sorcerer alongside you.  It must've been terrible." she added. "You must be relieved he's dead." she said. Aiko was definitely pissed but decided it was best not to rage.

"Mai, stop talking nonsense. I just want to know if they're worthy replacements for Okkotsu." The muscular guy said. "Fushiguro was it...?" he asked. "What type of girls do you like?" he asked. The three were confused. "That question is so out of topic." Aiko said. "By the way, I like tall girls with big butts!" the muscular guy said.  "Why should I share something like that with someone I just met?" Megumi asked. "It's kinda hard for a closet pervert like him to answer that." Nobara said pointing at Megumi. "Yeah." Aiko said. "Shut up. The situation's bad enough without you complicating it." Megumi said, seemingly annoyed. "Kyoto. Third year. Aoi Todo. Introduction over. Now that we're friends, hurry up and answer, it can even be a guy." The muscular guy, Todo said. "A person's taste reveals everything about them. Guys who have boring tastes are boring. I don't like boring guys." He said. "The goodwill event gives me a rush. If my final one ends up boring, who knows what I might do." He added. "So tell me Fushiguro, what type of girls do you like?" he asked.

"I don't have a preference. As long as a person is compassionate then I don't need anything else." Megumi answered. "Not a bad answer." Nobara said. Aiko nodded in agreement. "That's definitely an answer I expected from you Megumi." Aiko said.  "Shut it." Megumi said, annoyed. "I knew it." Todo spoke once more. "You're boring, Fushiguro." he said and proceeded to attack Megumi.

"Holy shit! Megumi you ok?!" Aiko said. Both her and Nobara were gonna go after him but only to be stopped by Mai.
