Raya's POV

It's been a week since I saw him, I mean it's good, yeah? but some part of me misses him. Whenever I walk around the hallway, I keep looking for those particular orbs. I sighed.

"Raya I'm so so sorry." Omar said for the hundredth time, as we were having lunch. I was five minutes late for school, so I tried to sneak inside the classroom, because I couldn't find Mr. Looney, as I made my way, guess who stood behind me? YES HIM!! "Detention!", he screamed, Ya Allah!!! my poor eardrums.

When I walked into my next class with Omar, I was telling him how I had earned myself a detention, he couldn't stop laughing and by the time we settled, he constantly kept on annoying me. Ugh! "Damn you! Would you stop?!" I said and I didn't know that I said it out loud enough for the whole class to be looking at me! Ugh. My teacher thought that I asked him to stop and Ladies and Gentlemen, I earned my second detention for the day. What a day eh?!

Ever since then, Omar wouldn't stop apologizing. " Omar that's okay" I assured and pulled him for a hug, he's just so cute. " Zaroon will be there too" he whispered. "Where?", " Uhm detention..." he said. " Oh? What did he do?", with that Omar told me about how the football team pulled a prank on Mr. Looney and since he was the team captain  along with the Vice Captain, Mr. Looney banned them from playing for two days and gave a detention. " Wow! Okay I'll text him later", I chuckled. 

"Guys, I should get going, I've got 5 minutes for detention." " Oh  and Ray, I'm staying over at your place" Hanan said. " Great! I'll pick you up after detention.", she nodded. I waved at them and set off to leave. 

Why do I have this unsettling feeling? Did I forget something? I walked towards the entrance and my eyes widen in shock. It's him! He's here too? Three hours with him! Ya Allah please help me! Zaroon sat beside him, he looked at  me and gave a slight nod. 

I gave in my detention slip and walked towards Zaroon. I can feel him staring at me intensely. "Hey man" my voice cracked, Ya Allah! I sat beside Zaroon. "Sup Ray, this is Murad, Murad this is Raya." Zaroon said and my eyes slowly darted towards him. " Hey" he said, his voice raspy, I couldn't find any words, so I just smiled a little and nodded at him. I looked around the room and I found few other students and kept looking all over, except him. Oh god what am I going to do? I need to distract myself, I sighed.

" Zaroon Ahmed, could you please help me leave these papers in my office?" Ms. Liya asked. " Sure, ma'am." with that he left. Wow, why can't this get any better?! I watched Zaroon walk away and I slowly turned around to look at him. When I did, his eyes were already on me. Mmm now what?... I quickly turned back around and heard him chuckle. 

"Hey...Hi" he said softly, Uhm should I ignore him? Pretend like I didn't hear anything? yes! Great idea Raya. I kept fidgeting my fingers and looked out the window. "Hey, Uhm Raya?" he called again. I slowly faced him, " Yeah?", " Uhm...Hi?" he said. " Hi" ugh my voice, what is happening! " Could you pass me that paper?" HUH? " I'm sorry what?" I asked. I guess I'm deaf now. That hyena shouldn't have screamed in my ears. My poor tympanum, I shuddered thinking about it. " My paper.. I...I dropped it...and it flew under your table" he stumbled. I looked down and picked it up and  OUCH! Noo not again! " Shit! You okay Raya?" he helped me up and looked where I hit. 

I felt a strange sensation of butterflies inside my stomach, "You okay? Does it hurt?" he asked concerned. This is embarrassing!!... I'm never picking anything up again. " Uhm no... it doesn't." I said and gave his paper. " Raya, I'm... I'm so sorry this is all my fault." he mumbled. I didn't know what took over me, my hands went up and cupped his face. " Hey... hey I'm okay, don't blame yourself, alright?" I whispered.

As soon as I said that, his grey orbs turned dark as he looked at me deeply, I felt many emotions clouding in his eyes, so much that I couldn't stop myself from looking at him . "Ahem!" Suddenly, I snapped out of it. Huh? what just happened? I turned around to see Zaroon watching us amusingly. I took my hands off of him immediately and dipped my head down on the table. My mind raced back and forth, I checked the time , Ugh! this is not going to do and eventually, I went into a deep slumber.
