Chapter 11- Preparations

Amelia's P.O.V ( 1.5 weeks later)

It's been a long week. First Diego almost killed Carlos after he found out he asked Lexi to be his girlfriend without asking him. Second Diego and Carlos have been busy with the mafia, Apparently the German mafia is still threatening us, it started before Lexi was taken and it hasn't stopped. Third Diego and I have been with Adriana every time we have time to spare . We aren't ready to leave her for a month

I have been busy planning are honeymoon. Diego said we can go anywhere in the world, so it was difficult to pick one place, but I did and Lexi is helping me by taking care of Adriana

"Amelia. Can we talk in my office?" Diego said and I nodded and left Lexi with Adriana in the living room

We enter his office and we sit on a couch Diego bought for me since I complained about the chair no being comfortable. Apparently they are uncomfortable for a reason.

"Did you tell her anything?" Diego asked and I took a deep breath

"No" I whispered

"We can't keep this from them Diego. They deserve to know" I said trying to reason with him, like I have for the past week

"Amelia. If they know they will be in danger and I can't let anything happen to them. I will sort it out" Diego said and I nodded

"So where are we going for our honeymoon" Diego asked and I smiled

"We are going to see the northern lights in Norway. I booked us the best house right under the northern lights. It will be amazing." I said

"Great. We will take care of this issue during our stay" Diego said and I went around the office and hugged him and sat on his lap

"It will be ok. I know you are stressed, don't worry you are the ex-don of the Russian mafia. You are powerful, smart, amazing" I said and he rolled his eyes

"I'm not stressed. Don't worry about me. How are you doing with the whole leaving Adriana for a month" Diego said and my eyes started watering

"Don't remind me. I can't believe I won't be able to see my little potato for a month. She will forget all about me" I said as tears fall from my face. Diego quickly wiped them away

"Don't worry. She will never forget her mother. We will be back in a month"Diego said and I smiled and kissed him

"Everything Is ready for us to go. 2 more days" Diego said and I nodded

"I better go back to Adriana" I said and he nodded and walked over to me

"I love you" Diego said and hugged me tightly and I hugged him back just as tight

"I love you too" I said and left his office and walked back to the living room and saw Adriana playing with Carlos rings. Maybe Carlos does like Adriana

"Where is Lexi" I asked him

"She went to make lunch. She told me to watch Adriana until you came here" Carlos said as he stared at me and I nodded

"You ok?" Carlos asked

"Perfect. Just sad that I leave Adriana in 2 days. What if she forgets about me?" I said

"Don't worry. We will remind her of you everyday. plus you will be gone a month not a year. Relax Adriana can never forget her mother" Carlos said and I smiled

"Let me go out her down for her nap" I said as I walked over and grabbed Adriana

I take her to her room downstairs and put her in her crib
