Dream High (On-Going)

Chapter 1

"Mom! Where's my phone?" I shouted and immediately find my mom

I found her in the dining area together with my stepfather. They're both eating silently

"You're not allowed to use your phone for a week," she said without looking at me

"What?" I laughed sarcastically

"Since when did you start flirting with a guy who already has a girlfriend?" she asked madly

I froze up in my position when I heard that

"You don't know what you're talking about. I didn't do that" I said and turned my back against them. I was about to walk out when she suddenly held my wrist

"Apologize to his girlfriend and admit what you did," she said and held my wrist tighter

"I said I didn't do that, I'm not like you---" I didn't finish what I was going to say because I immediately received a slap from my stepfather

"Watch your mouth you rascal"

I held my cheeks and glared at him

"Enough! Go to your school Ryujin-ah" my mom said while trying to stop my stepdad from slapping once more

"Weak" I laughed sarcastically to annoy him before I left

I heard him cursing me before I left the house. I immediately spit when I tasted blood from my mouth

'Since when did you start flirting with a guy who already has a girlfriend?'

"You know nothing" I whispered to myself while trying not to cry. I closed my eyes, raised my brows, and took a deep breath. I know I looked dumb when I do this but this is my way to stop my tears

I am nowhere at the bus stop and waiting for the bus to arrive when a car suddenly stopped in front of me. It just stayed there and no one is coming out

I can tell that someone is watching me from the back seat so I decided to step closer. I was about to knock when I heard Beomgyu's voice behind me

"Ryu!"

"What are you doing here? Where's your driver?" I asked confusedly

"I ran away from him so we could go to school together" he laughed "And you? Whose car is that,," he asked

I looked at the car but it's no longer there

"I don't know" I simply said

The bus arrived

"Did your stepfather slapped you again?" he asked when he noticed the small bruise on my cheeks

"Let's not talk about it," I said and entered the bus

I'm just quiet the whole time until we reached the school. My brows furrowed when I saw a lot of people and reporters inside the school

"What's the occasion?" I asked

"The Dream High Academy officials are here to pick talented students who can compete on the upcoming biggest talent competition here in Korea"

I already heard about Dream High Academy before but I don't have any idea about what's with that school because I'm not interested

All I know is that it's the most prestigious school here in Korea. Only very rich people can attend that school because their tuition was really expensive. Many students aspire to attend that school but I'm not one of those

"This is the first time that they give scholarships. They're always confident with their students so I wonder why do they have to hire talented students from public schools?" Beomgyu said "You should join Ryu, you're the ace of our school" he added but I just rolled my eyes at him
