Chapter 20

Haechan's POV:

"Why don't we join them?" Beomgyu complained

The other elites are all eating in the cafeteria except me. I'm here at varsity's locker room and eating the bbibimbap that  I bought outside

"You can go with them if you want to, you don't have to join me here"

"I can't leave you here alone"

"My teammates will be here later so you don't have to worry about me" I smiled  and patted his back

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah"

After he left the room I immediately leaned on my locker and closed my eyes

The upcoming interhigh is bothering me. I don't think we can win this year especially now that Jaemin is not participating

I hate to admit it but I won all the MVP awards for 3 consecutive years because of Jaemin

Yes, I have all the skills but he was the brain behind all those success. And now that he's not participating, it's a big pressure to me because I don't know how I am going to win

Our school, my parents and other people have high expectations to me and my teammates. I don't want to disappoint them, especially my teammates

"Haechan-ah, why are you here?"

I didn't noticed Sunghoon's presence. I'm too focused on overthinking

"I'm preparing my stuff for the training later" I reasoned out

"Ryujin's looking for you, should I tell her that you're here?" he was about to text Ryujin but I stopped him

"We can talk later at home" I smiled at him and was about to left when he spoke

"Haechan-ah, are you okay? It looks like you're not on yourself since last night. You don't even finished Ryujin's birthday party. Is there something wrong?" he worriedly asked

He's actually a scary guy. He's good at reading people's gesture and actions. I wouldn't be shock if he also found out that I have feelings for Ryujin and if he did, I'm sure it is going to be a big mess

"I'm okay, I'm just thinking about the interhigh but don't worry I can handle this" I smiled at him and left

I was about to go to the court when I saw Ryujin on the cafeteria together with the other elites and Beomgyu

She's just smiling while listening to them. She's smiling a lot these days not just because of Beomgyu's presence but also because of Jaemin

I immediately looked away when she suddenly looked at my direction. I immediately go back to my room and pretended that I'm sleeping on my desk

That night when she got hospitalized, I planned to confess to her once she wakes up but I failed because Jaemin already did

But what breaks my heart was the fact that Ryujin was inlove with him too

I already noticed that there's something with the way Ryujin treats Jaemin and the way he looks at him but I didn't expected that it's because she has feelings for him

I'm not stopping Ryujin to be so close to Jaemin not because I'm afraid that he will use her to revenge on me because I'm confident that Jaemin can't do that

I did that because I'm afraid that she will fall for Jaemin too, just like what happened to Ji Eun
