Chapter 22

Ryujin's POV:

I covered my face out of embarrassment when I saw what Yeji chose to be our cheering squad's name

Her ideas are always making me cringe

I actually don't want to join this cheering squad. It's just that Jaemin forced me to because he wants me to be near the player's bench for him to be able to see me easily

"I can't imagine that I'm holding this" I whisphered to myself while holding the color red and yellow pom-poms

"Do it for your boyfriend" Yeji whisphered to me

I looked at Jaemin who's now talking to Haechan and his teammates. It looks like he's now discussing how their game should flow

Haechan was just silently listening to him. I noticed that he looks different. I don't know if it's just me but he looks so pale and down

"Chaeryeong-ah, what's wrong with Haechan? He looks so pale" I whisphered to Chaeryeong

"Ah, don't worry, he's just nervous. He's always like that before the match"

I looked at Haechan once again and he's now talking to his teammates. They later on did their team's chant and decided to go back to their bench

Jaemin was still wearing his t-shirt that's why he still needs to get change. He was about to remove his shirt when the crowd started screaming. Jaemin panicked and looked at me. I raised my brows at him and he immediately wear his t-shirt properly again. The crowd started frowning out of disappointment which made me laugh

Jaemin left and came back wearing his jersey. He looked at me and gave me a thumbs up. I smiled and nodded which made him smile too

"Are you communicating with him using an alien language?" Yeji whisphered to me but I just ignored her

I'm in the middle of memorizing something when I saw Beomgyu entering gymnasium together with Hyunsoo. They're both laughing with pom-poms on their hand. It looks like they're going to join the cheering squad too

Chaeryeong waved her hands to them that's why they immediately found us. Beomgyu smiled when he saw me and waved his hand to me happily like a kid

I waved back to him too and smiled

It looks like he's okay now

"Yoona asked me to give this to you"

I didn't noticed Inyeop's presence beside me. He gave me a pink envelope with a stamp from France. I looked at him confusedly

"I'm the one who helped her to be a model in France" he said

My jaw dropped when I realized that he's staying abroad. I already heard that Yeji has an older brother staying abroad but I didn't know that it's in France. They're probably classmates during their high school days

"How is she? Is she doing well?" I asked

"She's doing well. She received a lot of offer from big companies because of her undeniable beauty but she needs to regret all of it for some reasons. I think she needs a year to be a model. I can tell that she's happy of what she's doing but she's crying sometimes because she misses her family and Taehyung"

I suddenly felt sad for Yoona. She's probably having a hard time right now. I wonder what she will feel once she found out that Taehyung already found a new girlfriend. I'm sure it will break her heart knowing that Taehyung is also mad at her

But I can't blame Taehyung, he felt betrayed by her because he has no idea that Yoona is going to leave him that night

The decision that Yoona made was really hard because she had to sacrifice everything to achieve the freedom that she wants not just for her but also to her mom and siblings
