Hi! So real quick, please look at the author's note at the bottom of this chapter! It might help me decide what kind of book I'll write next. Anyway I do not own any art or the characters in this fanfic. Only the plot. I hope you enjoy!

Will POV

He couldn’t help but coo at the sleeping boy in his arms. He looked more at peace in his sleep, like a huge weight was being lifted off his shoulders. The only signs he was in distress where the ragged breaths he took, and his tear stained face.

After a few minutes of cradling Nico, Will decided he should probably head back down to his bunk. He tried to set Nico back down under the covers, only to realize the small boy had latched himself onto Will’s shirt. Will tried gently pulling away, but Nico’s grip was as strong as iron. He tried pulling a little harder, and while Nico still didn’t let go, he heard the faintest whimper coming from the boy’s mouth, as if begging Will not to leave.

After that, it didn’t take much thought for Will to lay down next to the boy, holding onto him from behind. His face went into the small boy’s hair, and it smelled of salt water, fresh and cold. He definitely blushed when Nico nuzzled his face into Will’s chest.

As Will lay there with Nico, he couldn’t figure out why someone like this would ever be labeled as a monster.

But the murders, the deaths, it just didn’t add up. So who else could it possibly be?

~~~~~~~~~~
Will woke up to the sound of soft snoring. He opened his eyes to see a small boy sleeping next to him, Will's arms wrapped around the boy’s torso. He barely registered the boy drooling all over Will’s chest, as he was much too focused on how absurdly adorable Nico looked cuddled up next to him.
It was six am, meaning he still had about an hour or so before he needed to get up and get ready for school. Will took that time to watch the angel next to him sleep, brushing a finger through his long, dark tufts of hair.
About forty-five minutes later, Nico stirred against Will’s chest, his eyes opening slightly as the small boy yawned, rubbing one of his fists against his tired eyes in the most innocent way.
“Will?” the boy asked, opening his eyes fully to look up at the taller boy next to him.
“Yes?” Will asked.
“I’m sorry about last night,” Nico said nervously, sitting up and wiping the excess drool of his chin. He looked down at his lap, as if waiting to be punished.
“Hey, I already said it was okay, I’m not mad, alright?” Will said softly, cupping the small boy’s face in his hands.
“O-Okay,” Nico mumbled.
Will and Nico got off the bunk bed, Will changing into new clothes and Nico doing his magic-thingy. The small boy was now wearing the same clothes as he was yesterday, just looking newer, and a black band t-shirt on this time. Will was wearing shorts, a light blue t-shirt with dark blue stripes across it, and a pale yellow hoodie.
Will took Nico by the hand, smiling widely, “Ready for breakfast?”
~~~~~~~~~~

Just as Will was about to walk out the door to leave for school, he was stopped by Nico holding him back. The small boy was a lot stronger than he looked, and had an iron grip, so when he pulled Will back into the house the taller boy almost fell on his butt.

“Where are you going?” Nico said, his voice in a mixture between a whine and a demand.

“Oh, I have to go to school,” Will explained, as if it were obvious.

“Can I come?” Nico asked eagerly.

Will softened at the smaller boy’s expression. He looked kind of worried, and a little scared. But then again, would it even be safe to take Nico to his school? He almost snapped at the employee at McDonald’s, if that had happened at school and Will wasn’t there to hold Nico back…

He mentally shivered at the thought.

“I don’t think I can take you to school, I’ll only be gone for a few hours-”

“Please? I-I don’t want to be left alone,” Nico said sheepishly, looking down at the ground.

Will felt guilty, but thought keeping Nico at his house was the safest option. His mom and siblings left town to visit some relatives, his mom feeling better about leaving Will home alone since the “monster” hadn't been active in days.

“You’ll be okay, Neeks, I promise,” Will said, cupping the smaller boy’s face in his hands. He felt his heart sink as Nico’s lower lip trembled. “Please don’t cry, I’ll be back before you know it. Alright?”

Nico looked away but didn’t answer. Seeing that made his heart break, and he felt guilt crashing down on him as he walked out of the house and closed the door behind him. But he’d made the right choice, right?

Okay so I've already started writing two solangelo aus. One is where Nico is a merman and Will is human, the other is about Will and Nico if they adopted a kid, it's a bit of a domestic Solangelo. Neither are finished but I already started writing both of them. So you guys pick which one you want to see come out first! Thanks again for reading! <3
