Stardrop- A Tangled Adventure ( Hiatus/Slow)

Hectic Packing

"Grab your goggles, Ruddiger! We're going on a trip! A journey! An adventure!" Varian yelped excitedly as he ran around his room packing. 

He was so excited! For one, he was gonna get to visit the Dark Kingdom! He'd heard rumors about it, and he knew a bit from Rapunzel and Eugene's journey, but at the time it was mostly about Cassandra's betrayal, so he hadn't been able to pay much attention to the details. Secondly, he was hopeful that Eugene's father or at least someone from the Brotherhood would be able to help him with his powers. And, it's possible he would even learn something about his mother! Though, he didn't know for sure if he wanted to know more or not. It was a painful part of his past, yet, he wanted to know about her. 

"Don't forget to pack some snacks buddy! And don't hog them all to yourself this time! You gotta be able to share!" At this, Ruddiger looked at his human companion and made a slight growl, though he continued to pack enough for 'everyone'. 

After a few hectic minutes, Varian had everything he needed. Or at least everything he thought he needed. Probably everything? Honestly, he wasn't completely sure he did have everything, he was so scatterbrained at the moment that he couldn't really think logically about what he needed, but he assumed he had everything. 

"Right, now that I'm packed, we can go and find the others." Varian muttered to himself as he walked out of his room and shut the door behind him. Then, he skipped towards the entrance of the castle, hoping to find someone on the way.

"Grab your things, Pascal! We're going on a trip! A journey! An adventure! AGAIN!" Rapunzel squealed as she ran around her room packing. 

She was excited! But also a bit worried. Would King Edmund be able to help? Would he know anything? She was hopeful that he would. At the same time, she was weary about the Dark Kingdom. It brought up painful memories that quite frankly, she didn't want to remember, or feel. Cassandra's betrayal, Eugene's pain, the Moonstone, everything that happened there was part of a dark part of her past, a part she didn't want to reminisce about. Still, if anyone could help or know something about the Stardrop, it would be those of the Dark Kingdom. According to Varian's mother's journal, Quirin originally learned about it from  the there! So, it was the best option. 

Either way, she couldn't shake the feeling she had, that feeling or worry.

As Varian skipped through the halls of the castle, looking for his friends, a thought hit him. What was  gonna happen if he learned to control the powers? He'd always been a 'man of science', so what was he supposed to do if he suddenly became a 'man of magic'? It was a random thought, but nonetheless, he pondered it. 

However, for now, he shook it off, focusing more on the immediate. As he did though, once again, he ran into Eugene. 

"Wha- Varian? Man, we gotta stop makin' a habit of meeting like this!" Eugene laughed as he helped the young alchemist to his feet. 

"Ah, haha, sorry. I was in my head." Varian shyly admitted as he brushed his knees of dirt and dust. 

"Seems like you usually are. There's no fault in it though, it's good to be a thinker." Eugene said, smiling at Varian. He wanted to make sure that the kid didn't feel like he was doing something wrong. He could understand the amount of pressure and nerves that he was under and feeling. Of course he was gonna be in his head! There was so much that happened in such a short period of time, he couldn't fault him for constantly thinking about it! He just hoped that going to see his father would be a useful thing. As much as he didn't really want to see his dad, Eugene was willing to do whatever he could to help his young companion with his struggles. 

"Yeah...I just have a lot on my mind." Varian apologized. "Anyways, I was heading towards the front of the castle to find our ride. You?" 

"I was heading to Rapunzel's room to see if she's ready. You can come with if you'd like." Eugene responded. Varian nodded in approval to his idol, then followed him toward the princesses' chambers. 

As the arrived, a whirlwind of supplies came barreling towards them. 

"TAKE COVER!" Eugene and Varian heard from the other side of the storm. Both males ducked to the sides of the doors to avoid the impact as the things came towering down. 

"Oh my goodness! Sorry! Are you guys okay?!" The voice yelped, revealing itself as Rapunzel as she climbed the great mountain. 

"Ah, yeah, I think." Eugene responded, looking over at Varian and Ruddiger. 

"Yeah, we're fine. Though I have to ask princess, what's all this?" Varian responded.

"Oh, um, you see, I was looking for something specific, and so I opened the back closet without remembering that I had put all this stuff in there when it didn't have a place..." Rapunzel said, laughing a bit at her own silliness. 

"Aha, I see. Well, if you want, I can help organize and put everything back." Varian offered. Rapunzel nodded, and all three teamed up to quickly put the things away. 

After about half-an-hour, everything, or mostly  everything was either back where it belonged or in a newly-designated spot. Then Rapunzel grabbed what she was looking for, packed the rest of her things, and followed Eugene and Varian out of her room and towards the castle entrance. 

"Alrighty! Now that we're all packed, we can actually get ready to go!" Rapunzel said cheerfully. Pascal chipped on her shoulder in response, prompting Ruddiger to do the same. Laughing, Varian nodded in response with Eugene, and all three (or technically five) friends headed off to find their ride, and officially start their journey. 

(A/N) ALRIGHTY MY DUDES! Here's the next chapter, sorry I took a month. I had my SAT in the middle of it and some other stuff, so I took some time. The same thing is gonna happen this month, as I have 4 AP Exams and the end of school to deal with. But I'll try to be sporadic and not just leave y'all hanging.
