Golden eyes bore into the back of your head. The feeling made your spine tingle. Hesitantly, you craned your neck over your shoulders and and saw them-his eyes staring directly into yours. A nervous excitement washed over you. You knew it was wrong to feel this way, even when the simulacrum was just looking at you, but you just couldn't help yourself.

Everyone else either dislikes or was uncomfortable around him-but not you.

Well, it would be a lie to say he didn't frighten you at all, but that's where some of the exhilaration stemmed from. Sure it freaked you out, but you loved it, even if it was accompanied by slight anxiety.

"The demonio, he's staring," Loba sneered, arms folded across her chest. She stood with you, leaning against the dropship wall, waiting for the announcer to announce the squads for today's match. You were busy, trying to avoid looking at the simulacrum altogether. You understood full well how the woman next to you felt about him, so sometimes it made you feel bad that you were acquainted with her and in love with the same entity that was responsible for assassinating her family.

Nevertheless, that's how you felt about him.

The announcer's voice sounded on the mic, collecting everyone's attention. Everyone paired up-and you were lucky enough to be with Revenant, the nightmare himself. You were unsure if that was a good or bad thing, but either way, you marched over to the dropping platform. The ship soared over Worlds Edge, you both choosing to land near the Epicenter.

A couple of hours later, you two found yourselves held up in a building in Lava City. The atmosphere you two were in was tense to say the least. Not because of enemy squads or anything like that-you two had been looting all over the city for a while now and it was quiet-save for the occasional participant desperate to be famous.

You sat on the stairs, playing around with the select fire on your R301 in an attempt to occupy yourself when the simulacrum's voice made your spine tingle.

"I know you've been eyeballing me, skinbag."

"Is that so?" You said, making an attempt to seem less anxious.

He didn't answer back, instead, he stalked his way towards you. Your skin broke out in goosebumps as you heard his steps get closer. With a hesitant glance, you now saw that he was hovering above you, casting a downward glance. As you got up to distance yourself from him, you backed yourself up the stairs and into a wall. He followed you, inhuman hand slamming into the wall next to your head.

You back slumped against the wall, as his other hand, rough and cold, grazed your chin with his fingers. He lifted your head, making you look into his eyes.

"You know, you're not as intolerable as those other skinsuits," he said after what felt like forever. You couldn't respond, your only answer being a swallow.

He chuckled. "Cute."

Your heart skipped a beat. His fingers glided down from your face, to your neck.

"W-what are you....doing," you mentally swore at yourself for stuttering.

"I was just thinking-should I rip out your trachea, right here, right now? Nobody would ever know....no one would ever hear your scream."

"You wouldn't do it, though," you challenged.

"Maybe I would," he threatened. His face leaned in closer to yours....closer and closer until-

*POP POP POP*

The sound of sudden gunshots made Revenant back away from you.

"I guess I'll keep you alive for now, it would be boring if my favorite skin bag died so soon," he teased, unholstering his weapon and walking away from you. You regained you composure as well and clicked your gun back to auto, an amused smile forming on your lips.

Yeah, he was bad for you, but you just couldn't resist him.
