Cecile was sitting at her desk in the press room around 9 a.m., reading and evaluating the articles written that day.
But unlike usual, there were thoughts in her head that she didn't want to think about. Like what would happen to her position in the press team or when the members of the press will decide to write something else about John or his suspension.
'Okay, King's suspension from school is a big deal, but it's been a week since he was suspended from school, but the press team continues to write about him.' Cecile thought
'I wish Isen were still part of the press team. In such situations, he always managed to write something different and put himself one step ahead.' She thought
While Cecile was thinking about, the door of the press room opened and the person who was thinking of it now entered.
"Hey, Cecile! How are you doing? It's been 1 week since we met."
It was Isen
'Hmm, why did he come here? John had forbidden him to come here. Oh right, John is gone and he found the courage to come here.' Cecile thought
"Fine. How have you been since we haven't met? Have you finally decided to be a man?" Cecile said
"Why do you say that and break my heart. Besides, I didn't just come here to say hello. Here, these are the articles I wrote for today." Isen said
"And?" she asked
"And what?" he asked
"Cut the crap Isen. Tell me the real reason you come here," she said
"What else can I come here for other than showing my articles?" he asked
"I don't know. Maybe Arlo asked you to come here and tell me that you are back in charge of the press team and I was fired from the press team again?" she said
"Actually no. Yes, I spoke to Arlo before I got here, but it wasn't because of the press team or your position in the press team. I talked to him about Blyke. The truth is that Arlo doesn't want to be King again. He wanted me to be King, but I refused. Arlo, before me. He asked Blyke, but he refused like me. There are only 2 candidates to be King after me, Zeke and Holden. Arlo said that I would rather die than ask them to be King. So nothing about the press team was mentioned in our speech." he said
'Arlo doesn't want to be King again? This is surprising.' she thought
"Also, since John was suspended from school, I want to be part of the press team again. If you want of course," he said
Cecile took a glimpse of the articles Isen brought in, and in the end, she was happy to read something different.
"Well Isen, you can continue working on the press team from tomorrow." she said
Isen nodded in approval and left the press room. When Isen left the room, Cecile looked back at the articles, and a happy grin appeared on her face.
When Cecile was getting ready to leave the press room after she had finished looking through the articles, she was frozen in her place with a text message on her phone.
"How are you my pumpkin, I hope you missed your mother and me. I wanted to inform you, I took a week off from my job for 1 month later. After a month, your mom and I will come to see you in Wellston. I hope you were happy."
The message came from her father
Cecile looked at the message and froze.
Cecile exhaled and left the room.
