I felt the warm breeze of the sun on my face while I opened my eyes laying on Jeremiah's chest to see him sleeping which is surprising because it's always the other way around.

I needed the toilet so I got up and headed over to the bathroom. I checked my wound in the mirror and took the bandage off. sometimes I wonder how people just wake up pretty?

Anyway I walk back to the bedroom to see Jeremiah's eyebrows furrow "no!" He said I assume in his nightmare so I walked over and shook his shoulder to wake him.

"Maeve" he said sounding panicked which made me wonder what he was dreaming about. "You ok? I think you were having a nightmare" I said while wondering to the balcony while Jeremiah rubbed his eyes.

"Want to talk about it?" I said leaning against the doorframe. "No" he said coldly and walked into the closet leaving me confused on how he acted. I followed him in their while he went through looking for a suit "What's wrong Jeremiah?" I said standing now right in front of him hoping he'd turn to face me but he ignored me and carried on picking his outfit.

"Did I do something to you?" I said sounding a little pissed of because at this point I was. "Maeve go back to your room and change" he said emotionless which angered me more. "Jeremiah look at me! Why are you acting like this?" I said annoyed but I regretted it when he turned and walked directly in front of me.

"I said get out!" Jeremiah shouted into my face which I turned and walked away hoping I wouldn't show any emotion. I walked into my room screaming at myself not to react because I sound stupid otherwise so I just went into my closet and picked my outfit for breakfast however this time I didn't really want to sit with everyone so I just decided to eat it on my balcony.

I picked my outfit which was a short flowery summer dress with a strand of my hair tried around the back while the rest was wavy.

After finishing getting dressed I headed down stairs to grab a bowl of cereal hoping the lady who cooked wouldn't be in there, and thankfully she wasn't so I did as I planned poured myself cereal and headed upstairs.

I sat on the balcony for a while just wondering why Jeremiah reacted like that until my thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a chair being placed next to mine, I turned to see Hailey in yet again a pretty outfit which made me smile.

"Hey" I said calmly looking back at the view. "Hey, why didn't you go down for breakfast?" Hailey said placing herself next to me.

"I just wanted to think" I said still looking at the view ahead. "Maeve I've known you long enough to know when your lying. So I'm going to take a guess and say this has something to do with Jeremiah?" She said making me turn to her.

I don't like to lie to her especially because she's my best friend so I just told her what happened last night leading into this morning. "Jeremiah just can't do what's right" she said facing the view. "What do you mean" I said looking at her.

"He runs away from what's good because who he's close to normally end up dead." She said bluntly. "You know I don't think it's that this time, i don't know what it is though" I said squinting as the sun showed from behind the cloud.

"Anyway everyone is going to the beach today and I mean everyone from the mafia" Hailey said making me confused. "What" I said. "Well I've been wanting a beach day forever as we never have one and Jeremiah said yes like last week." Hailey replied. "So this is what the mafia get up to, i imagined guns and violence but tans and sun bathing, intriguing" i said making us both giggle.

"Every year we get a massive holiday that's funded by Jeremiah and everyone goes it's Jeremiah's way of thanking everyone" Hailey said looking to the view. "That sounds nice" I said doing the same. "The next one is next Friday so we need to start shopping and packing" Hailey said.
