As Ash walked into Eijis home his eyes scanned around the room. The interior of Japanese houses was alot different then the ones he had seen bad in America. Although, every country had their down different cultures and Ash respected that.

He soon found himself infront of one of Eijis relatives.  He smiled nervously and bowed his head slightly. "Its nice to meet you too"  he said that in Japanese, remembering some of the language Eiji had taught him all those months ago.

This was definitely different to when Ash introduced Eiji to his parents, and that didn't end well. This wasn't the first time he had stepped into a strangers home, but it was the first time he felt welcomed in a long time.

Ash followed on after Eiji and took a seat next to him. He kept silent and stared down at the table, just waiting for somebody to say something.

Eiji was overjoyed at hearing Ash’s Japanese. His mother broke out into a joyous chant of compliments, telling Ash that his  Japanese was very good. Eiji translated as needed.

Eiji’s mom then asked... a sort of personal question, in her doting mother ways. She asked if this was the boy Eiji was in love with. Eiji didn’t translate that part, instead turning many shades of red at the question. He took a moment, glancing at Ash before replying back with a ‘yes’. His mother was even happier. Eiji assumed Ash wouldn’t be able to understand that part, thank goodness for him too. He was much too afraid to fully admit that to Ash.

Dinner continued as Eiji’s father and sister sat at the table. They were also excited to meet Ash, but it was hard, given they knew little to no English. But they included Ash, asking questions about America that Eiji would translate and making sure Ash knew he was welcome with open arms there. It was a warm atmosphere.

Eiji still kept his hand in Ash’s afraid to let go. He hoped that Ash wasn’t too uncomfortable being there and that he was enjoying himself. After all... if he was staying as long as Eiji wanted, he would be there quite a while.

Ash smiled, listening to everybody talk and to Eijis translations. Ash tried to reply to all of the questions as best as be could, some replies would've been in the slight Japanese he knew, others in English.

He kept held onto Eijis hand, not uncomfortable at all. This was mainly all new to him, but he knew he could get used to it after a while. He tilted his head slightly as he saw Eiji and his mum talking, confused on why it wasn't translated.  Although he chose to ignore it, maybe it was something personal.

Ash wouldn't care if he heard what Eiji and his Mother was saying, Ash felt the same way about Eiji but he never admitted it. Yes he may of teased the boy when they first met in the bar, but Ash cared deeply for him. He'd pretty much put up his life to protect the boy he loved most, but he wouldn't have to worry about that anymore since it was all over.

Soon enough Ash put his chopsticks down after eating around half of it, he wasn't really that hungry. "Thankyou for the food"  he said in English, smiling over at Eiji.
