Ash enjoyed how close the two had gotten from when they first met. From the first time he lay eyes on Eiji he just saw him as an outsider, but he knew he could trust him. Like when they first met, Ash had trusted Eiji with his gun and everything else after that.

Ash had figured out his feelings for Eiji along time ago, he had always hidden them away though. But it was obvious he loved him, if he didn't he wouldn't of protected him like he did. For a long time Ash felt empty inside, like a hole was in his heart. But meeting Eiji may of fixed his pain, he felt happy and safe with him.

He put one of his hands at the back at the others head, smiling once more. Slowly, he leant closer to him and gave a light peck on his lips. Soon after he scratched the back of his head and stood up. He looked down at Eiji, still smiling.  "I don't know my way around here so you lead the way!"Eiji blushed brightly- Ash had kissed him ! Eiji’s hand absentminded went to his lips, in awe of the interaction. That was their first real kiss ! Ash didn’t seem as nearly as shocked as Eiji. Did this mean.. that Ash felt the same.

A flustered messy Eiji stood up , inwardly squealing in pure love. Eiji lead Ash to his room, adorned with trophies from his time pole vaulting, some childhood pictures and... pictures of the two of them, and some of Ash and Shorter. They were affectionately displayed. The room was dark and a bit... depression. A perfect illustration of Eiji’s state of mind before Ash had arrived. It was a sight that could pull at someone’s heart strings.

Still, Eiji was preoccupied being flustered and over the moon. But he needed to know- did that kiss mean something to Ash? Or was it a weird American way of being friendly?
“Ash... did you mean to kiss me? Why?” He asked, clearly nervous about the answer, adverting his gaze incase it was some sort of rejection that came from Ash.Ash did laugh abit as he saw Eijis face brighten up. He did realise this was their first kiss apart from the one they shared in prison. But that didn't mean anything, he pretty much did it to pass Eiji a note without causing any suspicion. He didn't mind kissing Eiji though, it was a nice feeling. He liked how soft the others lips happened to be.

He stepped foot in the others room and smiled, looking around a little. It was definitely different to what he has had over the years. Despite it being dark, the blonde could see well around Eijis room. It must've been something he had learnt from being in the mafia. Ash smiled at all the pictures he saw of Eiji, plus some of himself. "So are these all the photos you took whilst you was in America?"  he turned to face him, tilting his head slightly.

Listening to Eiji talk, he flopped down onto the bed and stared up at the ceiling, then over at Eiji. His hand rested behind his head and he thought for a second.  "Of course I did, why else do you think I'd kiss you?" Ash didn't answer the second half, instead he looked back up at the ceiling and shut his eyes. He wasn't really all that tired earlier, but he did feel a little fatigue at this moment, it had been a long day for him after all.
He soon got up and sighed, changing into a simple top and sweatpants. He stayed still for afew minutes, staring into his bag. Somehow he had managed to smuggle one of his guns through the security and boarders, it seemed impossible but Ash always found a way. He had no clue why he even brang it with him. He was safe here in Japan. All he did was bury it at the bottom of his bag and looked over to Eiji. "Well I'm tired...should we call it a day?"
