Kakashi's daughter, Sasuke's lover? What? ch 14

I woke up to sobs; I opened my eyes to see Naruto crying. I lifted my arm and wiped away his tears.

"Hush Naruto. Why the tears?" I whispered, Naruto gasped, it was only now that I realised how tired he looked...and...sad.

"Naruto, what's wrong?" I asked concerned,

"Well, we thought you were dead." He informed me, I nodded but I had a feeling that wasn't the whole reason,

"But where's Sasuke?" I asked him. Naruto looked away, I then realised I could hear more sobbing from behind Naruto. I sat up, gently pushing Naruto out of the way. I saw Sakura, weeping over a body. I shakily got up and walked over to her, my body aching with every step, was it Kakashi? I couldn't tell. What I saw made me drop to my knee's. It was Sasuke. Dead. A tear escaped my eye, I promised I thought I promised myself that I would keep everyone safe Sakura looked up at me,

"Sakura... Please. Move." I whispered, my eyes never leaving Sasuke's body. Sakura looked at me enraged,

"How dare you-" I felt myself snap, I pointed away from here,

"SAKURA! PISS OFF!" I demanded, she gasped. I noticed Tazuna behind her, he bent down and whispered something to her. I ignored them both and looked down at Sasuke. I let a chocked sob escape my lips, "Sasuke!" I screamed. I let my head fall onto his chest.

Sasuke POV

I struggled to breath. I tried to open my eyes but they wouldn't obey my request. I heard a familiar voice scream my name. It was the voice of the person I love, her voice was filled with agony and loss. That killed me, I promised myself I would protect her, I would protect at least one person in my existence. It was because of me she feels this way, if my damn body would respond then her pain would be over. Seconds passed but to me they felt like years, years of hearing my beloved's chocked sobs. I heard her yell to someone to stay away. No, this is not how I want her feeling.

"A-Ayame...." I whispered, as if those words gave me strength, I forced my eyes open to see the beautiful face of Ayame Hatake,

"S-Sasuke! I thought you were-!" Another sob escaped her lips, this time it was not of sorrow, but of happiness. My eyes wouldn't leave her face, but, why would I want them to? She was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I reached up to touch her, to make sure that I wasn't dreaming. My hand touched her face, I felt a tingling sensation spread through my whole body. I sighed in content, her eyes closed and she leaned into my touch.

"S-Sasuke?" I heard a female voice ask from beside me. I ignored them, wanting to stay like this forever.

"Sasuke." This voice was not female, it wasn't weak, it was demanding. I growled and turned to see Kakashi looking at me with an unreadable expression on his face. I grunted and looked back at Ayame, not giving him the chance to speak to me. She pulled down her mask and my breath hitched, I had never noticed how beautiful she was. She was always wearing her mask, her skin was pale but was still glowing with life, her lips had an attractive pout to them and when she smiled it was like someone put the spotlight on her, blocking out everyone else from my vision. Her eyes, those beautiful eyes she looked at me with, it made me want to melt under them. Her hair, it blew in the wind making her look even more like a goddess.

"I love you." I whispered automatically, I knew that those words were true, I loved her with all my heart and soul. She smiled down at me,

"I love you to Sasuke." Those words coming out her mouth made my mouth turn into an automatic smile. Her eyes showed the most affection I've ever seen her look at me with. She sat back, letting me sit up. I knew that if it was anyone else they would try and help me up, but that's why she sat back, she knew that I would push them away. Refuse help. I groaned and rubbed my head, I look to the side seeing Sakura with tears of both happiness and sadness flowing down her face. I turned to look at Kakashi who was smiling at me.

Ayame's POV

Leaf village

I sighed, clearly annoyed. As another medical ninja walked in I started to tell them that I was ok for the 100th time. I finally shut up when they told me that I could leave, I cheered and jumped out of bed. I quickly ditched the hospital clothes and put on my ninja outfit, I smiled as I ran out the door, being me I bumped into someone when I took my first step. I fell on the ground with a loud thump. I looked up and saw Kiba,

"Gomenasai!" I apologised quickly, he just laughed at my apology,

"It's alright Ayame, how've you been?" I nodded and got up,

"I've been good." He nodded then wiggled his eyebrows,

"I've heard you've been better than good. You and Uchiha huh? I've never really thought of you guys as a couple. I've always pictured you with me." I felt my face redden, and since I was in the village I didn't have my mask on so I quickly looked down, trying to hide my reddened face. I squealed when Kiba laughed and hit me on my back,

"Dude, calm down I was kidding! I think you two make a damn good couple." I felt my face go red again,

"A-Arigato Kiba-kun." I thanked sheepishly. He laughed but that stopped when I heard someone approach,

"Hey Ayame-chan. Kiba." Sasuke didn't say Kiba's name in a mean way, he just didn't say it in a friendly way.

"Uchiha." Kiba did the same. Sasuke put his arm around my shoulders and I felt my face once again go red, I quickly looked down. Sasuke chuckled,

"We have to go now. Kakashi sensei wants to see us." Sasuke told me, I nodded,

"Ja ne Kiba-kun." I bowed,

"Ja ne Ayame-chan." Kiba shot a look to Sasuke which he shrugged off. As we walked down the street of Konaha I couldn't help but have something tugging at my mind,

"Sasu-kun."

"Hm." He answered,

"You still haven't asked me yet." I looked up at him, he seemed confused at first but his eyes soon widened slightly with realisation. With that he took his arm away and stepped in my path, looking me straight in the eye. Some people stopped to see what the great Uchiha was doing with the adopted Hatake. I looked around nervously; did he have to cause such a scene?

"Ayame Kawa Hatake." I was pretty taken back, most people don't use my second last name, "Will you go out with me?" I couldn't help but notice some people actually waiting for an answer like it was a T.V show or something. I turned back to Sasuke and frowned,

"No." His face fell and I heard some disappointed whispers from the crowd, I bit the inside of my lip to stop myself from laughing,

"W-What?" I couldn't hold my laughter back, I burst out laughing and Sasuke sighed,

"Y-You should've seen your face!" Sasuke turned around to walk away but I grabbed his arm, he turned around and smirked while I grinned,

"Yes Sasuke, I will go out with you." He smiled and turned back to me. I grinned while closing my eyes like Naruto does sometimes. Biggest. Mistake. Of. My. Life.

"PUT ME DOWN UCHIHA! I LIKE MY FEET PLANTED ROUGHLY ON THE EARTH!" I screamed as Sasuke held me in place on his back while running towards the bridge where everyone was meant to meet up,

"Hn. This is what you get for teasing me." He taunted with an amused smirk planted on his face. I growled,

"SASUKE!!!!!"

Alright this is a little emotional but you know, I thought that it would be a little emotional if you just woke up after thinking you were dead to find your lover on the ground dead then suddenly he woke up, I know I'd be like O.O and also, SORRY FOR MAKING YOU WAIT SO LONGGG!!!!!
