Sophia's P.O.V.

Something deep inside of me feels this pull towards Blake. I can't describe it with words, but it's so strong and...unnatural.

I feel my feet start to drift forward, and my mind seems to be turning to mush. I feel my eyes turn black, and those six black veins appear underneath my eyes. My gums tear apart and my fangs appear where my eye teeth once were. My mind is driving me towards the blood, but I can't help but feel panicked; as I have no control over my body.

I only manage to take a few steps before Ethan moves his whole body into my path, and I trip over him. I land with my body draped over his back like a d*mned blanket! My belly is over his back, my legs are about an inch off of the ground, and my face along with my arms are only inches away from having a full make-out session with the floor if I were to fall.

Ethan barely even moves an inch from my impact.

Ethan let's out a very deep warning growl towards Blake, I vibrate against his body as he does so. I grit my teeth as I quickly find my footing and stand, fully removing my body from his.

With a huff, I blow a loose piece of hair out of my face and cross my arms over my chest. That 'pull' feeling is very much gone now, and with a small amount of thought, I finally realize what Blake has been doing this whole entire time.

"You've been compelling me."

I growl out low and dangerously. In a flash, I have Blake out of his chair and in the air. My hand wraps tightly around his neck. It takes a lot more to kill a vampire than just strangulation since we don't actually 'breath', but since most of us were originally human, our brains still go into freak-out mode thinking we are actually suffocating.

It gets the job done when necessary...

"I don't appreciate that, Blake."

I pull back my upper lip and hiss at him as if I were a cat or a snake...yes, I like the idea of me being a snake.

They are one of the deadliest reptiles after all...

Blake smirks, taking a few coughs as if my hand wrapped tightly around his neck is actually working.

"So deadly." He mocks, before landing a hard blow to my wrist which leaves me screaming in pain. The sound of bones snapping echoes throughout the dining hall, and not even a moment later, a powerful growl follows suit.

The feeling of my wrist breaking has me immediately dropping Blake and falling to the ground myself. Blake falls to the ground, graceful as a cat, unlike me, who falls like a very, very ungraceful human.

Kind of like Bella from twilight.

The mere thought of that movie and book series would normally bring a smile to my face, not only because I think it's slightly humorous with the whole 'Vampires shine like diamonds in the sun', but also because I slightly admire the human author for taking the brave step and writing about something not many know about. Of course, I would love to fix a few small details about the 'vampire dynamics' but she did really well and I'll give her credit for it.

Within moments, Ethan is at my side, nudging me gently with his nose in concern. I smile thankfully at him, but still, gently hold my broken wrist to my chest. It will be fully healed within the next hour or so, but that doesn't stop the irritating pain. It doesn't hurt as much as it would a human, but it still holds a punch, especially since a vampire caused the injury.

"Bastard."

I growl out through clenched teeth. By now, my bun has fallen out, and my hair has loosely fallen around my face. It acts as if it were a mask. I peek through a few cracks in my wall of hair to glare up at the peering Blake, who is sporting an arrogant sh*t eating grin.
