The next day

Ryder somehow managed to sleep until 10 am.

As she opened her eyes she realized that she wasn't home.

Just as she sat up memories from the day before came flooding back.

Was yesterday even real?

Ryder really wasn't too sure about getting out of bed but knew she didn't have time to lay there.

If she didn't make checkout she'd be paying for another night, and she didn't really have the money.

She rolled out of bed and stumbled over to her bag to gather her stuff to get dressed for the day.

Her outfit for today consisted of a pair of shorts and her favorite blue top.

Once she was dressed she double-checked she had all of her belongings.

Her phone started ringing.

Unknown.

"Hello?" She answered

"Morning bestie!" The other end cheered

It had just dawned on her that she actually gave out her number last night.

"For the sake of my sanity can I know whose number this is?" She questioned

"Where's the fun in that?" Zach laughed

"It'd be very fun. So I take it this one is yours?" She replied

"Duh." He scoffed

"That's helpful. Thank you." She said

"I'm sending for you, we're hanging out again." He insisted

"And what if I had plans?" She asked

"Do you?" He returned

"Not really, but I could've." She admitted

"Cool, cause you do now." He declared before hanging up the phone.

"What the fuck just happened?" She thought to herself

Barely two minutes later there was a knock at the door.

She peeked through the little window in the door.

There stood the hooded figure that was starting to become more and more recognizable to her.

She opened the door.

"Good morning!" He beamed

"Mornin'" She replied with a smile

"Are you ready?" He asked

"Let me double-check I didn't leave anything." She answered

She went around the room moving and scanning all the areas she had been to make sure she had everything.

Once she was positive she wasn't missing anything she looked back at him and nodded before heading through the door.

The two of them made their way back to the elevator.

"How'd you sleep?" He whispered

"Pretty good surprisingly. You?" She replied

"About the same actually." He responded

"That's good! Do you have any idea what the plan is for today? Zach decided to call me and insist I hang out today." Ryder said

"Not entirely. He insisted someone come get you." Jonah answered

"Oh nice, so it's a surprise for everyone then?" Ryder joked

Jonah nodded.

The elevator finally stopped on their floor.
