Little did Ryder know that summer her favorite hoodie would change her life.
I'm awoken by the sunlight seeping through curtains.
This causes me to sit up and rub the sleep out of my eyes.
I have to feel around for my phone.
About a minute later I find it.
10:30 am
First of the year.

I scroll through my notifications.

I tap and scroll through the Instagram notifications.
It's all of the pictures we took at the party.
I make sure to like and even comment on all of them.
They all tagged my private account so they couldn't be traced.
I then FaceTime Ky.
It only takes a couple of rings before she answers.
"So..." She starts
"What?"
"Fill me in!"
"On?"
"Last night!"
"What about it?"
"Oh, c'mon Ry!"
I can help but smile.
"Oh my god did he follow through?"
"YOU KNEW?!"
"I actually didn't but I had my suspicions. I figured he'd come clean within the first few days. So how'd it happen?"
I then recap the events of yesterday, including the party with her.
"You can't tell anyone!" I say
"Well duh! Why would I?"
"I don't know, but if anyone asks you don't know yet, cause I don't know when we're telling people."
"That's fair. How does it feel? You're literally Y/N!"
"I'm still trying to process. I'm still terrified this is all a dream I'm gonna wake up from."
"That's understandable. I'd probably feel the same way."
"And now it feels like things are really gonna change. Like I'm staying here til I get my place but that's not until after Aspen. I feel like I still should get my own place because this is just starting. I don't want to rush things. I don't want him to feel like he doesn't have his own space."
"I get you. I still think having your own place is good. Especially since you're just starting everything. You both still need your own space. And as you make more friends if you want to have someone over you should have that ability. When do y'all leave for Aspen?"
