"Um, have you been in the garden yet?"
You ask desperately.
"No, but why should he be in the garden?" You can well imagine how paddy looks confused right now.
"Well, maybe he wanted to go to the pool" Now you also feel Tom's confused gaze on you, not because he wouldn't go swimming, but because he doesn't know how to get down to the terrace so quickly.
