Kaito ran through the rooftops all over Yokohama.
He jumped off buildings, using his ability and manipulating water particles like rope that helps him swing from one place to another.
He soared through the sky like spider man or Ladybug from Miraculous. Those from below would scream upon noticing a purple haired teen carry a younger brunette all over the city like a ragdoll.
After jumping on a utility pole from the roof of a bus stop, Yukiko spoke.
"Let go of me!"
She demanded.
As soon as she said those words, Kaito glanced at her momentarily before continuing on his destination. Paying no mind to the complaints of the young sorcerer.
They landed in front of an old abandoned wearhouse near the Port.
In Mafia territory.
"There are so many things I want to say to you." Yukiko grumbled as Kaito released her confinements. "First of all, don't you dare carry me under your arm like some kind of parcel!"
"You could've just carried me on your back or at least calmly take me to this place without causing ruckus among the city!"
Yukiko irritably crossed her arms and looked around the place guarded.
Despite the jujutsu community already having a peace treaty with the Mafia, the Sorcerer couldn't simply shake off the precautions she developed over the years— whenever she's in the city on a mission.
"My apologies." Said the red eyed male, dusting off his clothes. "But given Yukiko-chan's size, I decided it was most efficient to carry you like that."
"What are you, a robot?" Yukiko narrowed her eyes. "and for your information I've been having growth spurts occasionally, here and there— I'm a few inches taller than papa now!"
Kaito did not respond. Instead he turned his back on her and started walking towards the abandoned wearhouse.
"Oi," the brunette called following after the taller male. "Careful... I sense a lot of dormant curses nearby." She warned.
Unbeknownst to her, The corners of Kaito's lips curled into a soft smile. Immediately disappearing as he turned to look back at her.
"This place has been like that since approximately sixteen years ago." He estimated grabbing the galvanized iron sheets that blocked the entrance and setting those aside. "The curses are sealed. However if you wish to exorcise them I would like to you to wait for a bit— after I've shown you what you need to know"
He stepped inside the dusty wearhouse and usured Yukiko to do the same.
She complied, covering her nose from the mountains of cobwebs and dust bunnies all around the old building.
She looked over to where Kaito was, seeing him kneeling down near a bunch of boxes covered by — what used to be— a white tarp. Now it resembles the color of muck and dirt.
He pulled at its edges showering them with snows of dust and grime.
Kaito coughed and Yukiko sneezed.
Discarding the tarp in a corner, Kaito pushed against the old and empty boxes, revealing a trap door underneath.
He slid it open and climbed down. The brunette cautiously following after him, suspicion and curiosity bubbling in her stomach.
