Heartbreak was something many people experiences some Time in their life weather that be losing a friend, having a favourite fictional character die or being broken up with. You were experiencing the latter of all these options After having your boyfriend of two years up and leave you after confessing he found a new girl he liked more than you......yep this was one of those breakups you'd see in a Wattpad fanfic though this actually happened to you.
Right now you were huddled up in your blankets as you watched some of your favourite films on repeat and ate some good old Ben and Jerry's ice cream. Bags of emptied chips and used tissues were scattered on your couch, it wouldn't be hard to clean up though you weren't in the mood to do so. Your phone buzzed signifying a message though you ignored it in turn to eat another scoop of ice cream.
"Stupid heartbreak" you grumbled before swaddling yourself further into your blankets and then abruptly laying on your side making a few of the chip bags to spring up and then hit the floor. You sighed staring at the still playing tv before averting your gaze back on your phone that buzzed again, you picked it up to see your mom calling. you whipped away any tears that remained on your cheeks, taking another quick sigh you then answered the call.
"Hey honey, how are you doing?" Your mother asked with a clear happy but exhausted tone, "hey mom...I'm good" you lied looking around at the still open Ben and Jerry's ice cream tub. "That's great hon!. Has anything interesting happened back home?" She asked making you think for a moments and then answer "not much but the hibiscuses grew really well and I started a new painting". "that's awesome!, can you send me some pictures later?" She asked making you reply "sure" before you heard someone from her end call put her name. She answered back to them that she'd be there in a minute but seemed clearly annoyed at being interrupted.
"Damn it, I though I'd have a longer break" she grumbled before saying in a regretful tone "sorry sweetie but I'll have to cut this call short.". At hearing this you have a understanding smile before saying "no problem mom, get some sleep though since you sound tired", at hearing this she laughed before saying "love you!, and you do the same k?". "Will do mom. Talk to you later" you said before hanging up and Staring blankly at your phone for a few seconds afterwards. You felt guilty for not telling her but....you'd rather not make her worry more about you considering she was already bogged down by work and having to be in another country.
You then placed the phone back down on the nearby coffee table before closing your exhausted eyes. you honestly just wanted to curl up and disappear into your comfy blankets than deal with this anymore but....something strange would happened when you woke up.
