After that night it was as if any attempt Veronica had made that night to pull herself from all the fog had been to no avail, as even after the medication and alcohol mix that could be blamed for her grogginess had taken its course and their effects had dimmed her world still remained out of focus, this time though she made no attempt to escape she happily ignored the world as it made it a tad bit easier to be around him after the conversation they'd had the morning after,

As the sun rose, casting a soft glow to fall upon her skin while it poured through the open blinds of the giant windows that adorned her room, a tired sigh left his body, he hadn't gone to sleep instead he'd just laid there watching her as creepy as that sounded he just wanted to prolong the moment before he eventually had to destroy the bit of happiness they'd created a few hours prior admittedly he didn't have to do it but he knew that it was all spur of the moment her feeling towards him would never surpass friendship, he shut his eyes tightly, taking in a deep breath, breathing in her usual perfume and the slightest bit of tequila that laced her breath, leaning over he pressed his lips against hers as softly as he could hoping she wouldn't wake from his actions but soon she was stirring gently and as soon as she felt his lips on hers she charged forward and deepened the soft kiss managing to push him onto the bed so she was able to lay on top of him,

"Ronnie," he managed to speak,

"Hmm?" she hummed her response, he sighed reaching up to brush a few strands of hair away from her face, pushing it behind her ear letting his palm rest gently against her cheek, he let the kiss continue for a few seconds before he slowly pulled away his head sinking into the soft memory foam pillow that laid beneath it, as he stared up at her, his eyebrows drawn together as he stared deep into her brown eyes letting himself get lost in the curiousness and brightness he loved so much, there was something in there he couldn't quite identify but he guessed it was something she saw in his eyes as now they seemed to see each other in a completely different light, 

"Ronnie, we need to talk," he whispered, his thumb light moving up and down her cheek which had turned a light shade of red after having been pressed tightly against her pillow for the last couple of hours,

"Ok," she agreed with a small nod, he sighed wrapping his arm tightly around her back as he sat up, making sure to maintain his palm on her cheek his thumb still stroking it gently, 

"Um, about last night," he started, stopping immediately as he tried to find the words to clearly explain the situation,

"What about last night?" she asked both of her hands slipping into his red hair, long nails softly scratching at his scalp, he closed his eyes his head falling back onto the headboard, as a small groan escaped his lips causing a loud pleased giggle to leave hers,
