Buzz...

Buzz...

Buzz...

Buz---

The buzzing sound was replaced with the sound of crashing as a muscular arm reached out slamming into the alarm clock in order to silence it,

"Mike! Get the fuck up!" he heard making him groan,

"Mike!!" the screaming got closer, still, he ignored it, tuning out his sister's voice was something he'd mastered at this point, she was always screaming, so he'd had to do it for survival's sake,

"Micheal!" the screeching was in his ear now as he felt something soft make contact with his face,

"I'm up, I'm up!" he groaned, sitting up vigorously rubbing the tiredness away from his chocolate brown eyes, "What time is it?"

"Six-thirty,"

"Go wake up Ro and get her ready, I'll make her breakfast and we'll eat something at school," he said,

"Why can't we eat breakfast here?" she asked with a raised eyebrow, both hands on her hips, he rolled his eyes at her stance sighing, he really didn't want to admit this to her,

"There isn't enough food for all of us," he admitted looking away from his sister,

"Oh," she said, looking at her feet, he glanced up at her feeling his heart ache, he hated this, he never wanted any of them to worry about money, but at last with their mother gone almost always, it was up to him to put food on the table, and the fact that he couldn't always do that for his sisters tore him apart, he stood up walking over to her, pulling the shorter pink-haired girl into a protective embrace,

"I'm sorry, M, I didn't know," she said,

"It's alright, Tiny, I'll figure it out, don't worry about it ok? I--I'll think of something I always do, now go help Ro get ready, we don't want to be late,"

"Ok, yeah," she nodded, squeezing him tightly one final time before pulling away, pausing at the doorframe "Hey, Mike?"

"Yeah?" he asked looking back up at his sister after having put on his glasses,

"I love you,"

"I love you too, Toni," he smiled softly, she sighed one final time before proceeding to exit the small room,

Any other day a moment like this would have put him down, he'd want a drink or anything else he could use to drown his sorrows, but not this morning, not after the dream he'd just had, it wasn't a dream per se more like a memory, as he replayed his moment with the raven-haired girl over and over again a slight smile gracing his lips the entire time,

"Mikey!" a high pitched voice called out to him, pulling him from his thoughts, he turned away from the stove which he was currently standing over, he didn't exactly remember getting there but then again he really hadn't been fully conscious for the last week,
