Chapter Fifteen - Not Perfect, But Worth It,

It won't be perfect,

but I know it could be worth it,

And for all of the nights, I left tears running down my face messing up my mascara,

It's not perfect, but maybe that's what we need,

Veronica lets out a quiet groan as her eyes flutter open, she tries to ignore the sunlight hitting her instead turning away from it, pulling the covers over her further, when she realizes that they aren't hers and that she doesn't necessarily recognize them, she shoots up a loud scream seconds away from escaping her throat when her eyes land on a bare muscular back, her eyes go wide pulling the covers up she lets out a relieved breath as she realizes that even though her dress is missing her undergarments are on meaning nothing non-consensual happened, this doesn't stop her from being panicked though she promised herself she'd never let this happen again, she promised herself she'd be more careful she can't let the events of that summer repeat ever again,

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to wake you I was just getting some clothes," she hears pulling her from her thoughts,

"Oh it's um, it fine," she shakes her head, finally taking notice of his attire, solely a towel that lays dangerously low on his hips, he clears his throat making a light shade of pink creep up on her cheeks as she realizes he just caught her admiring his assets,

"Sorry," she whispers embarrassed,

"It's fine nothing you haven't seen before right?" Mike jokes a slight smirk sitting at the corner of his lip, to be fair she quite literally felt him up before having a way to address him other than "stranger"

"Um, where are we?" she asked, though to some extent she recognized the interior it looked a lot like Jug's trailer just a lot cleaner,

"We're at my house," he said looking away she stared at him for a while taking notice of how he seemed embarrassed when admitting it, she tries to ignore it though as she pushes the covers off of herself and she gets up from the bed,

"I'm guessing I blacked out last night?" she asks through a yawn as she walks towards the opposite corner of the small room where his desk is,

"You play?" she asks running her hands over the strings of the guitar which is carefully propped up against the wall,

"Yeah," he answers standing there awkwardly as he watches her examine her surroundings,

"Vinyl, a true music enthusiast I see," she says as she examines the vinyl disks which are carefully lined up on the walls all around the room,

"You listen to Selena?" she asks through a laugh as she admires the collection,

"Of course I do, she's legendary," he says in the most serious tone she's ever heard making her laugh, her smile slowly fading as she takes notice of how uncomfortable he seems, she stares at him for a second, did she do something wrong the previous night that she can't remember? There must be a reason as to why he's acting so differently all of a sudden, she clears her throat as she spots her things lying neatly folded on top of his dresser, she walks over grabbing them,

"Um thanks for bringing me here," she says before turning and walking out of the door, he doesn't make an attempt to stop her but it's not as if it would've made a difference as even if he had she wouldn't have stayed, she walks out of the trailer looking at the number and breaths out a sigh of relief as she realizes it's only a few trailers away from Jughead's so she takes off walking down the street, she knocks on the Jones' trailer hoping that one of the siblings will be up, about a few seconds later the door is opened by the older of the two,
