She's finally here, at their meeting place, standing right in front of her. Tohru's nervousness could be felt even 6ft away.
"Um... Am I causing any problems? I hope that's not the case..."
She'd be lying if she said she wasn't worrying about this all day. Yuki, Kyo and her friends noticed how weird she was acting and asked if she was fine, and yes she said she is, but of course she's not. No matter how many times she told herself "everything would be okay", her anxiety level still went higher and higher, so high that it's even higher than Mt. Everest.
Tohru patiently waited for the girl to speak. Reina finally opened her mouth and said, "You're too kind."
Eh..? I personally don't think I am though.. "Oh.. Should I lower it down?"
"I didn't say that." She leaned on the wall, looked at the ground, avoiding eye contact since this part is hard for her to share it was kinda awkward.
"Your too kind that it's hard to believe. Most of the times I doubt that you're doing it with pure intentions. You change my mind sometimes but I'm still having a hard time trusting you, especially now that you know our secret.. I hope you're not manipulating us into thinking your nice and all only to reveal that you're the complete opposite.. But, I feel this thing deep inside my soul, it's telling me to trust you. I guess since Hatori and Kagura does, I will try to..."
Tohru's 'o' shaped lips turned into a smile. She walked closer to her and leaned on the wall. "I'll do my best to stop making you feel uncomfortable!" She clasped her hand, showing how determined she is.
"...It's also not just because of that. Even if I were to trust you right away, I won't let myself experience it. I don't want to get used to kindness.. The sun won't always keep shining... I don't want to get my hopes up, once it's dark it's always dark, it's just like getting distracted from the reality that everything that's happening is horrible.."
While saying that, Reina remembered a bad memory she had.
Tohru frowned, she could suddenly feel the pain she's feeling, like she has a sudden urge to cry. But she soon smiled, "Thank you for telling me how you feel Reina-san, even though it must be hard, I feel like I got closer to you at least for a bit." The girl looked at her a bit surprised, then gave a small smile.
"But dawn will always come. The cold night will turn to a bright and sunny day. Reality is not so bad when you notice the good things about it. No matter how hard it is, you should not lose hope."
Reina's eyes widened at those words. Suddenly she saw her shining brightly, she could get blind by how bright she is but she doesn't care. At that moment, she decides to listen to what her heart has been saying, trust this person named Tohru Honda.

A day after their talk. The boys noticed how Reina and Tohru are getting along a lot more than before. Shigure was chill about it, he was actually glad that Reina finally gave her a chance, but for those two, they think it's weird and suspicious.
"Okay what's up with you two?!" Kyo finally snapped. "Especially you witch looking woman! Did you cast a spell to her or something?!"
"I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I agree with the stupid cat. It's a bit alarming, yesterday Honda-san was acting weird, then suddenly the both of you are close. How suspicious." Yuki said. Reina remained quiet, with a straight face, she might not say this but she's hurt by those words. Tohru tried tell them she did nothing, Reina stood up and said "I don't have time for idiots" grabbing her bag and exiting the house.
The two continued eating still irritated until Tohru spoke, "Umm... Reina-chan really did nothing. I'm sorry but what you said was hurtful, she's really trying her best to get along with people. I know you all can be friends, just try to understand each other-"
"Are you joking? There's no way I'd even be nice to that woman! Keep dreaming." Kyo got up too and made his way to school, Tohru and Yuki soon followed.

Today is February 13th, which means that Valentine's Day falls on Saturday. If we want to celebrate it at school, then today's the day! Tohru thought.
After all of the classes the day finally comes to an end. She noticed how Kyo has been acting weird. "Is something wrong Kyo-kun?" She looked at the direction Kyo was looking and saw a familiar looking girl. "It's Kagura-san!"
The girl turned around to find his beloved. "Kyo-kun... Kyo-kun!" She dramatically said. "Crap she's here!" Kyo ran away faster than Sonic. "I.. Love.. You!!"
"So he was trying to avoid Kagura-san.."

"But it's Valentine's Day.. It's an important event for lovers." Kagura rambled on about going on a date with Kyo. "I know! How about this? Let's invite Yu-chan, Rei-chan and Tohru-kun and make it a triple date!"
"That's a great idea!" Shigure agreed. "Right? It really is huh?" "Hold on a sec!" "Why bring Yuki into this?!"
Everyone except Tohru is against the idea. "I've never been on a date before! Can we really go?" She said enthusiastically.
"Yes!" Kagura replied. "But Rei-chan doesn't have a date, then it will be a double and a half date?" Tohru looked at the mentioned girl and saw her shaking. "Re-Reina-chan..?" The girl says to herself in a whisper, "Am I double cursed..? The last time I went with them, I experienced utter humiliation, there were too many people looking at me, I can't stand it..."
She remembered a year ago, Kagura forced her to go on a double date, Kagura and Kyo made a scene at a restaurant, people were staring so hard that she had to get out of there unnoticed and hide in the bathroom. Once they were done arguing, she went home pretending to not know them. Of course there were other embarrassing events but she'd rather not remember them.
"No. I'm not going."

It was night time, Reina remembered what happened earlier. There's all of these thoughts, it's giving her a hard time to sleep. Is it okay to get close with her? What if I harm someone again? Am I really great person? Is it really okay, kaa-chan? Nii-chan?
A blurry image of her mom and brother appeared in her mind. She was forgetting what they look like, what their voices sound like. Most of what she still remembers is their personality and memories she had with them. She's afraid that maybe one day, she'd completely forget her family.
