"What happened after that?" Shehraz raised a question and kept his phone down after cancelling the meeting which was to be attended an hour ago. His eyes settled on her, who was lost in her thoughts.

Jahanara had composed herself by now confident enough to talk about her past as she sat in front of the painting that was covered with thin material.

"I ran from home with memories and things that belonged to the love of my life and ended up being adopted by a family of drug dealers working in the mafia." She halted inhaling and continued.

"Remember Mahnoor, my sister who was friends with Ru?" She asked as he slowly nodded, not liking where this was going.

"That day I was forcefully getting married. I planned to run as always. Fate had other plans. Mahnoor got killed in the shootout and that's how I ended up in front of your car," His heart sank hearing the tragedy and the sad smile Jahanara had on her face staring at the masterpiece in front of her.

Shehraz at this moment was grateful to have Jahanara with him. He could protect her. It's like Allah made him the way to her freedom and love. He stood beside her and couldn't help but mutter a MashAllah at her drawing.

It wasn't perfect but it had all the love and pain to draw a living human. It did not take a genius to figure out who he was.

Omar was handsome there was no doubt not just appearance-wise. His character and gestures had their elegance. Jahanara had fallen for him for these few reasons but she loved him with her whole self.

Shehraz remembered Ruqia how she never had the best life before marrying. How he got her with much difficulty but the pain and efforts paid off. All thanks to the lord of this universe. His eyes moist as memories swayed his body like waves crashing the shore.

Jahanara noticed how still he stood with crossed arms. She felt bad showing this to him and wrapped her arms around his waist, her cheek against his back startling him breaking him from his trance.

"I am sorry," she muttered and inhaled his perfume scent that replaced her internal system. He frowned tilting his neck.

"Why sorry?" He asked. "Because it isn't right I shouldn't have drawn it,"

He placed his hands on hers, breaking it apart and turning to her. "Don't be crazy it's a talent you have there is nothing wrong with drawing someone beloved to you Jaan," Shehraz did not notice that he called her Jaan as her body froze in shock.

"You called me Jaan?" She did not know whether she was asking or convincing herself, maybe her ears were misled.

"I did, why not?" Shehraz muttered, staring at Omar's face. It was the first time he saw the young man in person or more like in painting. He looked awfully familiar.

He glanced at Jahanara and told. "Jaan ho meri of course," He casually stated tying his arm around her neck in a lock placing a kiss on her cheek she gasped at his boldness.

He envied how charming Omar looked at the age of 20. He did not want to even compare his pictures with him.

It was too embarrassing.

Jahanara felt like she was high on drugs, her heart fluttering while her body tickled her stomach producing fireworks as someone pulled her out of the water to breathe in the fresh air. She felt euphoric at the way he called her Jaan.

'Get it together Jahan don't act like a love-struck teenager' she clasped her warm cheeks and coughed with a low voice.

"Shery you can't be jealous of a painting," she chuckled as his ears rolled red in remorse.

"Don't be silly," he pretended not to hear her and glared at her making her laugh more as she almost fell on the ground confirming that indeed she was right. Shehraz couldn't help but admire her lively laugh that could light up his dark days.

"Jahan I think I know someone like him," He finally broke the staring contest moving to those curious yet turned grey eyes that were filled with confusion but lit up in realisation. She facepalmed at her stupidity.

How could she forget?

"No way, Omera." She whispered.

Shehraz's eyes expanded and snapped his fingers as if she got the correct answer.

"Ya Allah the coincidence," Shehraz muttered feeling the goosebumps on his arms at the same time an idea convinced his mind to speak this up.

"How about we invite Rizwan and Omera on their next visit?" Shehraz said. Jahanara stared at him in horror and slowly shook her head.

The last thing was meeting any member of Omar's family.

As if he was going to listen to her.
