(Artistic! Shy! Reader x Hex)

You were currently sitting under the bleachers at a basketball court nearby your house. You always went their. You could find so much inspiration their between the buildings and all the colors and all the people that would come. Especially that robot that you always happen to see, luckily he never saw you. And yes, a robot. Their was always a robot that played basketball with the other kids and adults. It interested you how a robot could play basketball and act like a human. You found yourself drawing him sometimes, just out of memory. For some reason you couldn't get him out of your head. You were determined to at least find out his name but you couldn't talk to him. You were too shy too. Today you were drawing the buildings that were outside of the court. Why? Maybe it could be a background to something. It's just something for you to do. A lot of people nowadays love being on their phones but not you. You find that useless and a complete waste of time. You just wasting your life away tapping and scrolling on a phone, when you could be out exploring the actual world. You finished with what you were drawing and looked through a little gap between the seats of the bleachers. No one would think it was creepy because no one knew you were their. The robot was currently beating the crap out of "cool kids" from your school. It was strange considering it was 1v6 but you went with it. Once they shot the last hoop, you turned back around. If someone did notice you, you didn't want to make a wrong first impression. You started sketching something random. Maybe a dog. Maybe it was a cat. You couldnt tell but your hand was sketching some kind of animal. You continued watching as your hand sketched out, what seemed to be, a cat, until you heard a voice beside you. "Hello" you jumped back. It was that robot that you always saw. And he was talking to you. "U-um h-h-hi" you stuttered, holding your head down so he couldn't really see your face. "Sorry if I startled you. I didn't mean to. My apologies." He said, sitting next to you. "I-it's ok." You stuttered as you continued working on your cat. "I hope I'm not being too intrusive but may I ask what you are doing." He asked. "N-no it's fine. I-I just drew what I saw and now I'm just adding a cat to it because why not." You stuttered nervously. He looked at it and back at the road. "That is incredibly accurate. Very good job. And the cat is very 'adorable' as they say it" he complimented. You smiled as a light form of blush covered your face. "R-really? Thanks I guess." You said, panicking. "You're very welcome. Also, you seem a bit pale, have you eaten today?" He asked. You hummed. "Now that I think about it, no. I don't think so, at least. I never really keep track of when I eat or if I eat so I honestly couldn't tell you." You said, opening up a little bit more for some reason. I guess you were just getting more comfortable around him. "Well that is no good at all. The human body usually needs 3 meals per day in order to stay healthy. Without that, you aren't getting all your nutrients and vitamins.". He said. You shrunk back a little. 'that's not what my parents taught me.' you thought to yourself. "You know, your really acting like a parent right now." You said, going back too sketching. "Well do you live with your parents?" "No, I live alone-" "then I shall act as your new parents." "Wait what?" You said as you looked at him. "I won't know if you are actually eating if I don't watch you or just simply cook the food for you. You know, as long as you're comfortable with that and all. Sorry if I creeped you out. I tend to do that a lot apparently." He explained. You nodded. "I-I mean, your here a lot and you haven't really done anything wrong so I guess I can trust you. Plus, you seem pretty harmless." He nodded and stood up, reaching out his hand. "The names Hex, by the way." He introduced himself. You closed your book and took his hand. "Y/N" You responded. Once he pulled you up, you immediately gripped the book close to your chest and held your head down. "Alright, follow me." You said. As you walked, you heard as he followed close behind. He was really close. You sighed and kept walking. You weren't sure why or how you trusted him so easily, but you guessed it was just because he was easy to talk too, plus you weren't one too hurt anyone's feelings, If he even had them that is. Plus it was hard for you to say no too someone you just met. Once you reached your house, you slipped the key into the doornob while Hex looked around the yard. "Youve got so many plants here." He said, pointing you your little flower garden you had. "Yea, its a hobby of mine. I love collecting and drawing flowers. Anyways, here you go." You said, opening the door and letting him in. He walked in and looked around, it was pretty basic but it popped a lot more. You had some of your paintings hanging on the walls and a nice little setup in every room. Plus, you had it smelling like what you would imagine your grandmas house smelling like. "Hm, you've really got an eye for decorating I see." He examined. You watched as he looked around your house, sighing. Your stomach was twisted in everyway but you didnt want too say anything. You grabbed your phone and looked to see if anyone has texted or called. No one, as per usual. At this point, who would call you? You didn't really have any friends. Your family didn't really care for you anymore. You put you phone down and looked over at Hex who was now in the kitchen. "Do you mind if I cook you something?" He asked. You shrugged. "Sure, why not. A fair warning though, I don't have much food." You said. He nodded and startedpulling out some food. You walked over too your couch and turned on the tv. Maybe it would make it feel a little bit more comfortable. You flipped through the channels but just decided too settle on something random that you feel like youve seen before. After watching that for a few minutes, Hex brought a plate of food over. You looked down at what it was. He made you some pancakes and eggs. "Thank you." You mumbled. "You are very welcome." He responded, sitting down next too you. "So, whatre you watching?" he asked. You shrugged. "I don't really ever watch tv since im usually out doing things so I don't really know too many good tv shows. I just feel like my parents used too watch this one so I just left it on this one." You responded, nibbling on the pancake a little. It was surprisingly really good. "Oh, I see. So your usually the pretty active and occupied type, unlike some people of this generation who enjoy watching tv or their devices more. Interesting, that makes you more of a 'fun' person, so too speak." He explained. You shrunk down a little. Though he was sounding like one of those old people who were so against phones right about now, he was nice and sweet. He was like a father figure. You and Hex watched a little more of the tv while you finished up what hex had fixed for you. After you were done, you took your dish too the sink, washed it, and went back over too Hex. "Oh, done so early? Sweet. What do you wish too do now?" He asked, standing up. You shrugged. "You know, you don't have too stay with me. You can go back too playing basketball if you really want to. After all, you did make sure I ate." You explained. In honesty, you really didnt want him too go but you felt like you were being a burden too him. You couldnt help it. It was what your parents had taught you. Unless someone was desperately needed, you shouldnt put your problems on their shoulders. You never really know what problems theyre dealing with. "I know I don't need too stay, but I want too. All I ever do is play basketball anyway, its fun too have a friend who dosnt just hang out with me because of basketball. I mean, unless you want me too go. Im not great with picking up sarcasm or hints so I would have no clue if you really wanted me too stay or not." He said. You gently smiled. "If you really want too stay with me, that would be great." You said, he smiled. "So, what do you want too do?" He asked. You shrugged again. It was weird hanging out with someone, thats for sure. "Hey, why don't we go play some basketball together. Ive never played with you before." You backed away a little. "N-no, im n-n-no good at sports. You would definitely beat me. Plus, ive never really played basketball ever so I don't know too much about it."You explained. He looked at you, confused. "We don't have too play an actual game if you don't want too. We could just go over the basics. It could be fun. Just teaching you how too shoot the ball should be easy." He said. You fiddled with your hands, nervously. "S-sure, why not. Just please don't be too hard on me." You said. He grinned in excitement and ran over too the basketball court with you. He taught you the basics of how too shoot the ball and how too,as he called it, 'Dribble'. It was actually really fun. Then you spotted a particular blue hair boy and miss showoff walking near the basketball court. "Oh gosh." You muttered. He looked at you confused. "What?" "Nothing, its just, those two don't have a good history around here." You said, glancing over. "What did they do exactly?" "Well, the blue haired one usually challenges people too rap battles and if they lose, who knows. He destroyed a church once, hes killed a girl who just wanted some money since her cartoon apparently couldn't pay her a taxes, its really just whatever he feels like, he'll do it." You explained. "Well, I can somewhat rap, I just haven't in a while." He explained. You nodded. "If he does come over, please be careful." You explained. "Well, if it isn't miss shy, artsy pants." You heard him say. You quickly turn around too see them walking over towards you. You squeal and hide behind Hex. "And who might you be?" "Oh, hi. My name is Hex. Nice too meet you." He said, holding out his hand for boyfriend too shake. He took the chance. "You can call me boyfriend. And this is my girlfriend, just call her girlfriend too." He introduced. Hex smiled while you snuck your way behind a bush and curled into a shaking little ball. "I have a proposal for you. If you beat me in a rap battle, ill give you some money, but if you lose, ill tell Daddy Dearest too hunt you down, deal?" Boyfriend said. Hex pulled back. "How about we just have a friendly rap battle? You know, i don't really care too much for money so you don't have too bribe me. Plus, im not too confident I still have it in me." He said. Boyfriend was gonna decline when girlfriend nudged him. "Come on, I kinda like this one. Just this once?" He whispered. Boyfriend chuckled and turned back too Hex. "Sure, why not?" And so it began. Girlfriend sat on her speakers, which she had just snapped into reality and Boyfriend plugged the mics in. "Now, wheres that scaredy cat you were with at?" Boyfriend asked, looking around for you. You held your breath, hoping they wouldn't find you. "I believe they went behind those bushes over their." Hex pointed out. You sighed in defeat. "Well, I guess that fine. As long as they don't try and kill or harm me or my girlfriend in any way, I guess their fine." He said. They had about three rap battle that you counted. Then something happened. "You know, your pretty good too be a robot. Boyfriend complimented. "Thank you. I greatly appreciate it." Hex responded. "Alright, I'm pretty exhausted, so I guess we should better be going." Boyfriend said. Hew smiled, "Alrighty th-" Then something happened. He fell down and gripped his head. Everyone gasped. "U-um, are you alright?" Girlfriend asked. "N-no. I think a virus had made its way into my system." You gasped even more and fell backwards. You were smart enough too know, that wasn't very good. "Well, can we help you in any way?" Boyfriend asked. "I-I need someone too input the patterns from my screen into the microphone. That way it crashes the system and hopefully dies off." He said. "W-Well, I can't. Im way too tired too and Girlfriend literally has the inability too so-" Then he looked over at you. "You!'" He said, pointing in your direction. "Wha- ME?!" You said standing up. "Yes, save your boyfriend, your his only hope." He said. "We just met today! Plus, I CAN'T SING. Im just a stupid shy ol' artist." You shout back. He walked over too you. "LIsten, I may talk a lot of crap about you but that doesnt mean you can just look down on yourself. Learn too push away those thoughts. Plus, your the only one who can save him."He explained, handing you the mic. You took a deep breath. You could at least try. Its better too die trying then not too at all. "Alright Hex, bring it on." You said, walking in front of him. Through out the whole thing you were a nervous wreck, but you did it. You helped kill off the virus. After the final note, he fell down and you fell too your knees. They both ran over too Hex. "Um, buddy, are you alright?" Girlfriend asked. He sat up. "Y-Yes, you guys fought off the virus. You guys saved me." He explained. "I-I...never...want too do th-that again." You explained, still shuttering a little from the pure terror of that. Boyfriend scoffled and rolled his eyes. "B-but you did really good. You really impressed me. Like, if it wasnt a life or death situation, I would be clapping for you right about now." Girlfriend explained, patting your head. "Y-Yea?...Thanks." You said. Boyfriend then looked over at you. "Yea, not too bad for a loser, I guess. But don't think Im gonna be nicer too you from now on, got that?!" He said sternly. You nodded. "Well, we really should be off by now. See ya you two." Boyfriend said, dragging girlfriend off. You heard Hex walk over too you, kneeling down in front of you. "Hey, you alright?" "You gulped then nodded. "I-I think so. Just... still a little shaken up still. I should be fine in a minute." He nodded then sat down next too you. "Im sorry you had too see that that and deal with it. I guess it just slipped into my system somehow." He apologized. "N-no, you have n-nothing too be sorry about. You couldn't control it." You said. "And thanks for saving me. You truly were great back their." He added, rubbing your back. You let out a sigh of relief. You two continued looking at the stars till you felt him pull away. "Alrighty then, I suppose we should head back too your place now." He explained. You nodded then felt him pick you up. "Wha-!" You said as he lifted you up. "You are still in no condition too walk however. Therefore, I will carry you home and lay you in bed." He said walking. You were honestly too tired too argue so you just decided too go with the flow. After a minute of walking, you two arrived. The door was still unlocked but, thankfully, untouched. He made his way inside and layed you on the bed he had seen earlier in the day. He was about too leave when you voice caught his attention. "P-Please don't leave." You whined. He nodded. "Well, if you insist. I should probably keep an eye on your current condition too." He said, rolling up over one of your office chairs next to your bed. You tiredly smiled. "Thank you..."You mumbled as you fell asleep. "You are very welcome:)"
