(Has it been forever since I last posted? Yes. Did I still write a part two to this oneshot anyway? Absolutely. I live for fatherly figure Whitty. Anyway, if your seeing this, you swag for sticking around and still reading this, even if your out of your FNF phase like I am)
Warnings- Kinda Gore, angst/sad content, mentions of throwing up. Anyway, onto the story~
You were currently taking a nap in Whitty's bed. Ever since you ran away and began living with him, you've had trouble sleeping at night in fear that they would come back and take you away. Whitty was somewhat concerned, but him being an escaped experiment himself, he understood where you were coming from. This day, however, was a little different than the others. You were having a nightmare which was surprisingly uncommon for you. You were tossing and turning in the bed, blood rushing through your veins as you 'slept'
In your nightmare
You ran through the halls of your old facility, increasing your speed as the scientists caught up to you. "Get away from me." You cried as they caught up to you. You heard one of them chuckle. "And why would we do that? You've been a very naughty girl." They taunted. You gasped for air as you ran out of breath. "You know what, you should be punished. Maybe that'll teach you to never run away." They said, knocking you into a pitch black room. You fell in, scraping your knees and gasping for air. "It seems you've taken a liking to that stupid bomb head and his little robot friend. It would be tragic if something were to happen to them, wouldn't you say, Y/n?" You heard someone say as the door slammed behind you. Just then, one single light cut on above one single spot. In that spot... lied a lifeless body of Whitty and a dismantled Hex. You screamed and scooted back against the wall. "Nononononononono." You repeated over and over again, cupping your hands over your mouth. "That's right, my dear, they're dead now. You should've known better. Getting them involved in this only hurt them. Is that what you wanted? Them to suffer?" They taunted again. "Nonono, it's not real, IT'S NOT REAL. THEY'RE STILL ALIVE." You cried, running up to them and trying to shake Whitty awake. "WAKE UP, PLEASE." You heard someone in the background chuckle. "They aren't waking up, dear. Face it. You belong here." You felt her grab your shoulder and yank you back. "Your a mistake! A disappointment. All you are is a failed experiment." She growled. "Please.... Don't let it be true." You whimpered, lowering your head. "Oh it is, and it's all. Your. FAULT." She yelled, causing your crying to somehow increase.
End of dream
"Y/N, wake up." You heard as Whitty shook you awake. He had shaken you awake. The memories of your nightmare quickly rushed back to you and you pulled away and crawled to the other end of Whitty's bed. You didn't want him or Hex to die and, according to your nightmare, if you stayed associated with them, they would. Whitty sprung back in fear a little before going to talk to you again. "Y/N, what happened? Did I do something wrong?" Whitty asked, staying in his spot, just in case. "N-no" You quivered, tears falling from your eyes. "Well, care to explain to me your dream then? You were shaking and crying and just repeating no over and over again." He asked, approaching you. "I-I don't wanna. I don't want them t-to find me." You cried, surling yourself into a ball, not being able to hold in your tears anymore. He frowned and sat next to you, rubbing your back. "No, it was about your lab, wasn't it? Don't worry, even if they somehow find us, me nor Hex will let them touch you." Whitty said, reassuringly. You quivered and pulled away. "N-no, I don't w-want you two to die. They said that they'd kill you two to punish me and then they d-did, a-a-and I don't want that t-to happen irl." You cried, covering your face. Whitty frowned. As a runaway himself, he had been through this before. Living in constant fear was something that he'd always done but the first few months were also torture for him. He just grew to get used to it. Sadly, you hadn't yet. "Y/N, I want you to listen to me real quick. Can you do that?" Whitty asked, softly grabbing your hands and leading them away from your face. You sadly nodded and held your head down. "They won't get me, I promise. Me and Hex are pretty strong. It would take a whole army just to get us their, much less kill us. It's been years since I ran and look, I'm still here, alive and well." Whitty chuckled, taking a finger and lifting your chin up so you two were making eye contact. "I promise, we'll be here as long as you need, and then some. You have nothing to worry about." He smiled, causing you to smile and leap onto him for a hug. Mission successful. You were still crying a little but not nearly as much. Whitty rubbed you back and played with your hair to calm you down. "Thank you." You mumbled into his hoodie. He chuckled at how cute you were. "Of course. Anyway, you're hungry. Hex went to get us some food so he should be back soon." Whitty said, picking you up, causing you to chuckle again. "Yea, but can I have a minute? I'm getting dizzy again." You said, holding his arms. "Oh, sorry. Go ahead." He said, putting you down. You thanked him and rushed off to the bathroom. It was something that had to do with something the scientists did to you. You would randomly get dizzy and run off to the bathroom to throw up whatever was still in your gut. It was a once a day occurrence and he was hoping it would either stay that way or resolve itself. "I swear, even if I die doing so, I will help you." Whitty mumbled to himself, walking into the living room and putting on Encanto considering that was your new favorite movie to watch.
