My phone had been ringing for aminute now. Kagagaling ko lang sa bathroom. Naka bath robe ko pang kinuha ang cellphone ko sa counter top. Iniwan ko ito kanina ng naligo ako.

"Yes? Sinag De Silva speaking" I answered the phone.

I heard Thelma my friend from the other line sighed. Kahit hindi ko siya nakikita ramdam ko ang pag-ikot ng mga mata nito. I bit my lower lip to stifle a chuckle.

"What do you want Thelms?"

"I called to confirm the rumors." She now sounded serious.

Hindi ko narin napigilang magseryoso. "What rumors?"

"Na... Sasali ka sa darating na reunion."

I stopped for a second. That caught me. A few more second passed a small yet genuine smile crept my face. "Of course. Reunion iyon Thelms sasali talaga ako. Wouldn't it be great seeing how our batch mates looked now?" Nag simula na akong maglakad papasok sa kuwarto ko para mag bihis.

"Seriously Sinag? After what have happened?" She's starting to raised her voice.

"Hey, calm down. Makakasama iyan sa baby mo" i heard her breath deeply. ''you know thelms you should calm down. Alam ko naman kasi ang mga ginagawa ko and also i shouldn't let my self be caged by the past. i've already stepped forward''

''im just concern''

''there's no need to be afraid of. i can handle my self. i already accepted mine and his fate many years ago. Just like what i've said earlier I've already stepped forward."

I picked my neutral green corporate attire and a pair of black lingerie.

"Stepping forward and moving on is different Thelms. Moving on means you'll leave everything behind. Stepping forward means you'll carry the memories you've made ago but you'll accept that it's already a memories and it'll stay a memories. Because he's still part of my past but not in my present. I'll step forward carrying and accepting those memories"

"Ano pa nga bang aasahan ko. You're Sinag. The Woman who shine" she sounded defeated.

After a little morning chit chat with Thelma I drove to work as planned and started my day as it's used to.

I'm now currently working in my own clothing line, I named it SL which stands for Shiny Luminance and also Silver Lining. I founded this a year after I graduated business management. I'm also currently working on my new shop, this time it's a cafe. I like pastries so I decided to open one. In this generation it's also trendy so I think it would click.
