"Nah y'all go ahead and I'll catch up"
They all nodded as I answered the call from my PI who I asked to track down Yaya bird ass
" what do you have for me?"
"Long story short it looks like she and her baby father uprooted and landed in Atl. Bought a house and everything, jobs, and expecting another child...".
"The hell? Another child?"
"Yes. She's at least two-three months right now"
" you got an address?"
"Yes sir. I sent everything to your email you provided . Address and photos. She doesn't have a number registered at all "
"Aight thankyou"
"No problem"
I hung up the phone and went straight to my email seeing the information he provided. The more I looked through the photos the more I was getting upset at my sister.
I forward everything I had to my mama. As soon as it delivered she was calling me
"Antonio how you find all this out?"
I sighed rubbing a hand down my face "I hired a PI to find her. She up an left Valentino like he was nothing mama. To go to a different state and start a new life. I could have her and that deadbeat ass man of hers locked tf up."
"Boy— don't be cussing in my face now"
It was just frustrating and heartbreaking forreal. How I'm supposed to tell an eight year old his parents ain't want him.
"Ma I'm sorry. I just don't know what to do"
"I know baby but you don't know the full story with Yaya. If that man was hurting Tino maybe she had to leave with him to protect her child... we don't know what happened unless we make contact with her"
I nodded as though she could see me. She was slowly calming me down "alright mama. Lemme go and catch up with everyone else I'll call you later"
" alright baby. Tell my baby boy I said hello and also my daughter in law. LOVE YALL BYE"
She hanged up so quick before I even got to respond to her comment
I got out the car walking into the amusement park as I aimlessly walked around searching for everyone else till I heard a familiar voice
"My mama said not to talk to strangers." There was Zy with a bear on one hand and tears falling down her face
"I'll help you find yo mama. Just come with me I'll take you to her"
I turned my head focusing on Zy talking to a random woman who had a bunch of candy pops handed towards Zy
Everything about that screamed red flag. My legs were moving quick towards them as I swooped to pick her up " where yo mama ZyZy?" She didn't say anything as she clenched tight on my neck sobbing" Tony.. I'm in big trouble"
I glared at the lady as I took her photo before she slipped away into the crowd.
I rubbed her back letting her know it would be ok
"ZIYAH!" I didn't see her yet but I could picture her frantic short self already having tears in her eyes searching for Zy. I walked towards her voice until she saw me and who I was carrying.
She grabbed her out of my arms gripping onto her for dear life " Thank God." Icess scanned Zy from head to toe to make sure nothing was out of place then kissed her all over her face
" we're going back to the house Ziyah." Zy just nodded sniffling with her head down.
"Where Tino?" I asked to break the silence She pointed behind her and there was Tino looking guilty as hell walking up to me until he was in front of me with tears in my eyes
I looked down at him "the hell y'all do now Valentino."

Almost yanked that lil ass boy up by his collar for doing something so dumb
Kids and their imagination and thoughts are so stupid
Him and Ziyah decided to play hide and seek and thought it would be smart for both of them to hide and let the adults find them without the knowledge to the parents
Which in turn got them both lost having everyone searching for them.
" Unc?"
I tore my gaze away from my phone focusing on Valentino " wassup"
I could tell he just got finish crying in the room we was sharing from how red his eyes were. " I'm sorry Unc."
I nodded for hmm to come closer until I could grab him up "Tino you're only eight. You not grown yet lil man something could've happened to you or Zy if we didn't find y'all. I don't know what I would do if you went missing. I love you so much lil man"
He started crying in front of me and that was a first for him tbh. Whenever he was feeling emotionally overwhelmed he'd shut down and go and hide his feelings until he put that happy mask he always had
I rubbed his back as he cried "I'm not the only one you got to apologize to. Tink, Zy, Brent, Jordy, and Icey deserve an apology also
He nodded his head sniffling against my chest " I did to everyone except Ms.A ...... I'm scared unc She was really mad at me"
" I don't think she's mad at you Tino.. just scared something bad happened to you. She cares about you a lot ya know"
He nodded again wiping his eyes away
I was hesitant to ask but I didn't have a choice I needed to know what to do next and based on his answer I'd know " Tino... you miss yo moms?"
He stiffened up for a minute until I placed my hands on his shoulders looking at him that's when he relaxed a bit " you miss you mom kid?"
He looked like he was on the verge of tears " am I a bad person if I say no?" If it wasn't dead silent in here except for the two of us I wouldn't have heard him
I shook my head no " nah kid. That's simply how you feel" I didn't want to pry but I had to " did... did yo mama ever hit you?"
The flash of pain came into his eyes as he heard my question. Just as soon as it was there it was gone again replaced with sadness
" s-she drowns me"
My own body tensed up with the words that came from him. How you do that to your own child. How'd I never notice what he was going through every time he'd visit occasionally.
We were quiet for ten minutes as ideas was zooming through my head on what I should do. I couldn't stop the question coming from my mouth if I even wanted to
