Imagine- you have to look over Loki in the tower. You have a nightmare in your room and he comforts you.

Loki was awoken by the sound of you thrashing around in your bed across from him. He sighed loudly, hoping it was just you being restless and tried to fall back asleep.

Pulling the covers over him, he settled back into his bed, trying to ignore. But then you started talking to yourself, mumbling useless things.

"No. Please. Stop. Please stop hurting her," you mumbled, your thrashing becoming more violent.

Loki got out of his bed to see what was happening. You looked to be struggling against invisible restraints.

"Nightmare," he whispered to him self and walked across the room over to the bed.

He started to gently shake you, trying not to get hit by your flailing arms.

You didn't shake awake so he started to shake you a bit harder, whispering things to you.

"Y/n. Y/n. It's just a dream. It's not real," he said.

Al what happened is your breathing escalated as you hyperventilated.

"Darling, wake up!" He said louder.

You jerked up from your sleep and nearly hit Loki. You were breathing heavily and looking around trying to recognize your surroundings.

"Shhh. Shhh. It's ok Darling, your alright. It was just a dream," Loki calmed you, watching your panicked state.

You didn't even acknowledge the nickname he gave you, barely paying attention to him.

"Headphones," you breathed out, "where are my headphones."

Loki looked around the room and spotted your headphones on the dresser. He used his magic to grab them and handed them to you.

You hastily grabbed them and struggled to try to get them out of their charging case.

Once you managed to grab them you put them in and looked around for your phone. Loki handed it to you and you put on y/f/s.

Once the songs sound filled your ears, you relaxed almost immediately, leaning back into your pillow.

Loki watched you with fascination as you did this. He found your ways to cope with your past and the world around you interesting.

You moved your head to the beat of the music, lip syncing to the words, completely forgetting that Loki was on you bed.

Your breathing returned back to normal as you listened to the song.

Opening your eyes when you were calm enough you saw Loki watching you intently. You took out one earphone and looked at him back.

"What?" You asked.

"I'm just fascinated. And your welcome by the way for waking you up," he said, arrogantly.

You rolled your eyes at him and replied sarcastically, "thank you. But what do you find interesting?"

"Your ways to cope with your nightmares and the world around you. Speaking of nightmares, what was yours about?" He asked, inclining his head to you.

You looked down at your hand to avoid his piercing gaze.

"Nothing, just something from my past," you answered quietly.

"It didn't seem like nothing," he pushed.

"I just don't want to talk about it," you snapped at him.

He put his hands up in surrender before holding a hand out. You just watched it confused. He sighs.

"Would you mind if I listened as well?" He asked.

You glanced at your headphone before hesitatingly placing it in his hand.

He placed it in his ear and listened to the song with you. You closed your eyes again and began lip syncing the words, enjoying the music.

"Darling, you should get some sleep," Loki inquired after a bit. You shook your head.

"No, I. I don't I think I can. I just, I feel like if I go back to sleep I will be haunted again," you answered truthfully, not looking at him.

Without hesitation, Loki moved from his spot on the bed half across from you to beside you, holding you in his arms. You stiffened at his touch.

"What are you doing?" You asked stiffly.

"I'm helping you sleep. This is alright, right?" He asked, looking at you.

You nodded slowly, leaning into his touch as your music still played on.

Your eyes began to droop as you became tired. You tried to fight it, to not go to sleep but you failed and feel fast sleep in Loki's arms.

Loki noticed the change in your breathing and slowly took out your headphone, placing them both back in the case.

He kissed your head, and moved you closer to him to be comfortable.

"Goodnight darling. I'm not going anywhere," he reassured your sleeping body.

He shifted his position to be comfortable and not long after he fell asleep as well.
