—Rose's POV—

The peacekeepers put me in a room. I looked around and saw that it was a small room. The door was opened and there stood my family

"You have three minutes" the peacekeeper said before closing the door

"Oh my god" my mom said and ran to me

"Why did you do this?" She asked in a whisper

"She is just a child"

"Like you" she said and took my head on her hands "Your uncle taught you how to use knives and I know that you are pretty good at it, so don't be scared to use them"

"I don't know if I can kill someone" I said looking down

"You have to because you will come back to us" Peter said and hugged me

"You will survive this" my mom said and kissed my head

She then took off her necklace and put it around my neck. I instantly start shaking my head

"Mom, I can't.........." she interrupted me

"It belonged to your grandmother and now it belongs to you. She always said that this necklace brings luck to whoever wears it. You are a brave, intelligent and strong young girl, you can do this. I know you can. Please, never give up"

"I promise that I will never give up"

I turned to Peter

"You know how to hunt, so please help mom. I love you little brother"

In that moment the peacekeepers enters the room and start pushing them out of the room

"I love you baby.........remember don't give up" my mom said

"Come back to us, Rose. I love you"

They got out of the room and then Emily and her mother pass through the door. Emily start running to me

"I'm sorry, Rose" she whispered still crying

"Hey, princess it's ok. I promised you that I wouldn't let anyone hurt you, didn't I?" I asked and wiped the tears from her face

She nodded and hugged my neck. I looked at her mother who whispered a thank you to me

"Rose, can you promise me something again?" She asked

"It depends on what you want me to promise"

"Do you promise that you will get out of there alive?"

"Emily, she can't promise that" her mother said

I start thinking about what she was asking me. A promise to me is something really important, my father always told me that a person who breaks a promise is someone who we can't trust, because that person doesn't have a word, so we should always think before we promise something. I closed my eyes and nodded
