—Rose's POV—
We were walking among the Capitol residents. No one could saw who we really were because of our cloak
"By the orders of President Snow, all residents must proceed to the presidential estate, please continue to move forward in a calm and orderly fashion. Additional food, medicine and clothing will be provided upon arrival" the message was loud and clear
As we passed we saw a lot of peacekeepers with guns ready to kill us. I looked at Katniss and saw her looking at one direction. I followed her gaze and saw a little girl staring at Katniss
Instead of telling everyone that we were here she turned around and didn't do anything. When I thought the worst had passed, I saw peacekeepers talking with the people who had their hoods on
"This is not a good idea" I whispered
We quickly turned around but i felt someone taking my hood off
"It's rebels! The rebels are attacking!"
Why everything has to be so difficult for us?
We start running as fast as we could. Finnick pushed me to the side so we could hide for them. I start looking for Gale and Katniss and when I finally saw them, I saw that they are hidden too
I saw a peacekeeper in front of them but Gale was faster and kicked him quickly taking his gun
We start running again among the panicked residents of Panem. We hide behind a truck, trying to dodge the bullets
Finnick pushed me with him in time before the missile could hit the truck. The smoke of the explosion was not letting me see anything
I felt a hand in mine and when I looked up, I saw Finnick and Katniss. We all looked around just to see Gale being surrounded by peacekeepers
"Shoot me! Shoot me!" He yelled as they dragged him
I could kill him.......we all could but he was our friend. We just stared as they dragged him away from us
"Bring your children forward. The gates will open momentarily" a voice said
We watched as the parents gave their children to the peacekeepers. The sound of parachutes interrupted them
"It's the Capitol!" Someone yelled while pointing at the sky
"Gifts!"
The "gifts" were making a very strange sound. Having a bad feeling about this a pushed them back so we didn't entered in contact with it
When the parachute touched the hand of the person........it exploded
People start screaming. Snow is extremely heartless
"Medics!"
Everything was so confusing. My thoughts were interrupted by Katniss's screams
