Chapter 7: Nerd Says Hello

"Goodmorning mum." I say opening the fridge to get some food for breakfast. 

"Goodm-" my mum starts to say before my dad comes barging in. Like I say, no greetings, no problems.

"Sarah we need to leave as ASAP. The network has broken down." My dad says getting his keys and his wallet. My mum sighs and packs her laptop up.

"Ok lets get going. Kate look after your sister today ok?!" My mum shouts. A faint yes comes back. My parents leave out the door, yes they work on Sundays.

"Omg what are you wearing?" My sister says coldly. I look down at my PJ's, its just a plain shirt and sponge bob pajama shorts. Ok even though I love fashion and have a OCD problem when it comes to clothes not matching, I like to be comfortable at home! 

"Your clothes are so ugly you know that?" My sister says sitting at the table going on her iPhone.

"Like your face?" I reply back. Kate looks up from her phone and gives me the finger. I just laugh and continue getting breakfast.

"So a thought crossed my mind." My sister starts. Oh here we go, get some popcorn and a seat because this will be interesting.

"Wow, that must have been a long and lonely journey." I say grabbing a seat at the table by Kate with my toast. She rolls her eyes.

"No but seriously. Ok me and my friends are going to a catwalk in a week and I want you to join me." She says. No flipping way, a catwalk! This could be the start of my career! I will go, wear my absolutely best clothing and show the judges what I got.

"You're not playing with me right?" I ask sounding a bit too excited. Kate nods and pulls a ticket out of her pocket.

"Even though, I dislike you very much. You're my sister and I know how much modeling means to you." She says handing me the ticket. I accept the ticket into my hands, I can't believe this.

"You're going to a catwalk!?" Marie piratically screams. I nod and her face is filled with shock.

"I would literally kill myself to go to an actual catwalk. How did your sister get the tickets?" Tessa asks grabbing her lunch out of her bag.

"She said she had 'friends'." I say eating my salad. Ever since Kate has given me the ticket I have been pinching myself to make sure it wasn't a dream. Its the biggest catwalk of the year! With heaps of managers, agents all sorts of people who can get me into the big leagues. I look over to Jacks table, he then looks my way and gives me a smile. But of course being me I blow him a kiss,

"...Hey Clara." I look up to see Leo holding his lunch tray. I give him a glare saying why-the-sprinkles-are-you-talking-to-me-in-public. "You look nice today."

Today I'm wearing a lady high-waist back crossed strap dress with brown sling back heels.

"Leo, what the hell are you doing?" I say through my teeth. He shrugs and sits down beside Tessa, on my table, with my girls.

"Just coming to see you princess." He says taking a bite of his chicken sandwich.

"You must be Leo Welsh." Tessa says scooting away from Leo. He nods as he swallow his bite.

"Who wants to know?" He asks. I slap my forehead, just send me away in a box if you must. 

"Girls can I just have a moment with Leo." I say annoyed. Tessa and Marie nod and then leave, thank goodness they don't have to hear this. 

"What the hell is your problem?" I ask glaring at him.

"Coming to see my student of course. Is there a problem?" He ask innocently and pushing his glasses back up. I start to loose my temper.

"You're a freaking nerd Leo. So nerds don't hang out with populars,." I explain. He shrugs and finishes his sandwich and then pushes the tray away.

"Well I guess things change don't they. Plus I tutor you so that counts as hanging out." He adds. Can he annoy me anymore than he already is?

"But that's in private. So never and I repeat never talk to me in public or hell will come your way." I say getting up to go find the girls.

"Oh my goodness, I'm so scared." He says in a girly voice and then gives me a smirk. Calm down Clara. He will soon be out of your life when you become a world famous model.

"Bye Leo, I'll see you in your nightmares."
