She hung up the call and crossed a line on one of her many tasks. Reyna had just gotten off the phone with the last of the workers at KaibaCorp. In addition to signing off before leaving, Kaiba had them call the Head of the department before leaving. Reyna just answered for Roland as he was busy with other matters.

She let out a sigh of relief. There was one more thing she needed to get done before going home.

As she entered the main control room, she had everyone go home as per Kaiba's orders. By the way things were looking, she figured it had something to do with the meeting with Yugi's grandpa yesterday. Usually, Kaiba would go on a test run on the new and improved dueling arena and then criticize whoever was involved to improve it. But today he was preparing his deck longer than usual and had sent everyone home as soon as they had finished their job.

Reyna had never seen her boss so determined for this duel. Then again he has always focused on his own matters, whoever his opponent was whether it was dueling or his company. It was the one thing Reyna admired about him. She had to admit though, he did seem a bit too excited to test the new arena.

As she settled on her seat, clipboard in hand she went through the statistics of the arena.

A red light then blinked at her, notifying her of visitors.

"Who could be visiting now?" she mumbled, straightening her posture.

"Don't bother checking"

Reyna instinctively stood up at the sound of the stern voice.

Seto Kaiba stands at the door, hand on the handle. "The arena seems to be properly working judging by your relaxed state."

"Yes Sir. I had a full scan done on the perimeter and there seem to be no malfunctions and the holograms are at maxed leveled quality." Checked it twice and double triple checked it just to make sure.

He gave a somewhat satisfied hm. "You can leave once you're done with the codings for tomorrow's project. I want the prototypes to actually work this time." He left on that note.

"Yes Sir."

Reyna settled down on her chair and sighed. It felt weird to call someone Sir when he wasn't even past 20.

Must be some business partner he wants to show off the arena to. Then again, his schedule didn't say anything about that...

"Gaaahhhh!"

At the sound of the scream, Reyna immediately followed it toward the dueling arena and looked around. The arena was bigger than the others in the dueling competitions so she made her way around it, on high alert.

There at the entrance, she saw an older man on the ground surrounded by students from her school. She noticed they wore the same uniforms but also they looked familiar.

"Yugi?"

They all turned their heads toward the approaching woman. Kaiba stood there, eyes glued on the group. "Escort these people out of my company. This place does not welcome low-rate duelists."

"Yes Sir." Reyna was about to walk them to the door when she noticed that the old man wasn't keeping well. Beads of sweat gathered on his forehead, a bit of shivering and she was pretty sure she noticed how he lean mostly on his other side. Does his knee hurt?

"What he needs is a doctor," Reyna said interrupting the back and forth between Yugi and Kaiba.

Reyna turns to Tea, giving her a card, "As soon as you reach the receptionist give this to her, she'll allow you in immediately."

"Thank you," Tea responded, "You're very kind to allow big help to Yugi's grandfather."

"Yes well, Azima doctors are much more capable than the regulars anyway," Reyna replied and wasted no time heading back to the arena.

Tea raised an eyebrow at the girl. Regulars? What did she mean by that?

Reyna looked on, her eyes furrowed together as Yugi ascended on the platform in the arena with Kaiba at the opposing end. Yugi glared at his opponent as he drew his card. Reyna could practically feel his intense aura as looked at the other cards in his hand. Kaiba, on the other hand, waited for his move. A small smug smile tugged on his lip as he was prepared to declare himself the victor.

All this for a card? If Yugi's Grandfather had just sold the card to  Kaiba none of this ridiculous showdown would've taken place.

Her eyes darted back at the pendant around Yugi's neck. As a matter of fact, it's getting in the way of my mission. After all, the more we provoke a poisonous snake the faster it would make its move.

She turned to the sound of panting. "No way, don't tell me the whole gang just decided to stay back," she mumbled for it was none other than the blonde kid from Yugi's group rushing back to watch the duel.

Throughout the duel, there was something odd, yet...familiar about Yugi's demeanor from the start. But what? Yugi wasn't acting any different compared to earlier when he himself challenged Kaiba to a duel. So why did it feel different?

She almost flinched when his eyes darted to look at hers. Oh right, she was staring. But she kept her composure while he kept eye contact. He would've continued if Kaiba hadn't taunted him further to make another move.

The distance between the field and bleachers wasn't far from each other so any other person in her place would have a good view of both participants. Reyna, however, could see that and more. The proud posture, the confidence in his eyes, but also a sense of gentleness in his soul, an aura of light and dark.

And then it clicked. She noticed the familiar look, the same eyes from that night when she first met Yugi. This was not Yugi. That being is-
