"Wait" Erik said as he pulled away and the world came back into focus "not like this"

"Shit Erik i'm sorry" Julia said as she started walking out of the cave. She assumed her face was the color of a tomato from embarrassment, and wasn't about to let Erik see.
"Julia! Julia wait up a minute!" Erik yelled, having to jog to catch up with her
"So can we go now" Julia plastered an obviously fake smile on her face and then held up a thumbs up "Im quite fatigued" She said before walking off
"Are you dumb or something" Erik chuckled once again jogging to try and catch up to her
"Excuse me?" she stopped and turned around to face him
"Finally I don't have to jog to catch you" he said laughing and running a hand through his hair
"You! You! You're! UGH!" Julia said turning around to start walking again
"Just wait for a minute Juls, will ya?"
"Fine" she groaned
"God you really must be dumb or something" he laughed, his goofy grin spreading across his face "Of course I wanted to kiss you! I've been wanting to kiss you! Just not while we were complaining about my imbecile of a brother!"
Julia managed to squeeze out a small "oh" before hitting herself in the head with her hand "yeahhh. I think i might be dumb"
"It's gonna happen, I swear. I really want it to happen! But not like this, okay?"
"Yeah" she shook her head "Not like this."
"Hey Juls" Erik said turning around to walk backwards in front of her
"Yes, Erik?"
"I'll race you to the car!" He half yelled before breaking into a sprint towards the car
"You cheater!" She yelled sprinting behind him, gaining on him
"I'm gonna win! I'm gonna win" Erik was still a few yards from the car, but had already raised his hands in victory
"Nope!" Juls said as she whizzed past him. She on the other hand had not slowed down, but instead sped up. She hopped in the passenger seat before he had a chance to process her passing him
"Please tell me that did not just happen"
"It did indeed. I, Julia, am faster than you!"
"We'll see about that" Erik said hopping into the car "I am the one with the car keys, so you might wanna be nice to me"
"In your dreams, Menendez. Now hurry up! It's getting cold!"
He shook his head, but started the car and headed towards home

"Juls, I have an idea!" Erik said, a stupid grin plastered on his face
"Oh no" She shook her head while walking into her room
"What if- and hear me out, okay?- you let me sleep in here" He said, holding the door open for her
"Wow. Erik Menendez wants to have a sleep over. With me. I am so honored"
"Oh come onnn. It'll be fun!"
"Okay. Why not" She shrugged
"See. I knew you'd cave." He gave her a smug look
"Hey hey. I can still change my mind"
"Shutting up" He held his hands up as he backed onto the bed, then stretched his hand out for her to hold
When she grabbed it he immediately whisked her onto the bed and pulled her into a hug, resting her head on his chest. He leaned down and delicately kissed her forehead, almost as if he was afraid to scare her
"My brothers a real dick and i'm sorry. You deserve better." He said before pulling the blanket over them both
As she laid with her head against his chest, listening to his calm heart beat, and hearing his breathing start to steady, she realized how safe she felt. How at home she felt. The safest she'd felt in... well... ever was here with him. She heard his breathing fall to a constant pace and realized that he had fallen asleep
"Erik" she whispered "I think I l-"
*clack*
A small gasp left her mouth as she tried not to move, afraid of waking him up
A few seconds of silence passed when
*clack*
Julia realized she had been holding her breath
"Erik" she slightly nudged him
*clack*
but he didn't move
She turned towards the window and waited a few seconds
*clack*
"What the fuck" she whispered to herself. She had seen a small pebble fly up and hit the window. She slid herself out of bed careful the not wake Erik and crept towards the window
*clack*
She moved the curtains and quietly opened the drapes as she saw another pebble fly up and hit the window
*clack*
"That's it!" She whispered to herself while opening the window, sticking her head out in the process
"Whoever's doing that! You better cut it out!" She whisper yelled
A pebble flew up and hit her hand that was rested on the window frame
"What the heck!" She shook her head "Who's doing-"
She was interrupted by a beam of light shining up from below her, directly in her eyes. She put her hand infront of her eyes before giving them a minute to adjust as she looked down
"Hey Juls. Did ya miss me?"
