The screen had gone dark and the atmosphere was tense, yet I couldn't help but feel excitement for what could happen. Well I was more excited at the fact that for once someone was coming to save me for once.
However, something doesn't feel right. From my time observing the Daleks it's hard not to notice how they have these little quirks that they never had before. It is quite unsettling.

"You know the Doctor. You understand him. You will predict his actions."
"Ha, I will not." I kept my head down and voice low, I couldn't risk losing my cool and revealing my identity to some of the most dangerous creatures in the universe.
"Predict! Predict! Predict!"
"Tardis detected in flight." Here we go.
"Launch missiles. Exterminate." Oh no.
"You can't, the Tardis has no defenses, they will kill them." I thought I had whispered my concerns, but alas my big mouth has gotten me in trouble once again.
"You have predicted correctly."
I can feel my nerves rising as the missiles from the Daleks collide with the Tardis.
What ever they are planning, I hope it works.

The next few seconds felt like hours as I waited to see the Tardis emerge from the explosion, but it never came.
That's when I heard it.
That wheezing sound that can bring hope to anyone and everyone across the universe.
I smirk as I see the outline of the Tardis materializing around me and the Dalek next to me.
"(Y/N), get down! Get down, (Y/N)." I quickly suck out of the way at the Doctors orders.
I can see Jack holding some kind of modified device to act as a gun. The Dalek misses its shot and Jack fires, taking the Dalek out.
"You did it." I can hear the joy in Rose's voice, and the hidden relief.

I look up to meet eyes with the Doctor. I barley have time to register the joy in his eyes and my own delight before I am pulled into a bone crushing hug by the other Time Lord.
"I've got you. You're safe , I've got you." The Doctor is whispering reassuring things in my ear as comfort, I feel it's more for himself if anything.
"I told you I'd come and get you."
I pull away from the hug with a big grin.
"Never doubted it."
"I did. You alright?"
"I'm fine, you alright?" I was genuinely curious at how he felt, with the Daleks back and all. I know I'm not too happy about it.
"Not bad, been better." The look in his eyes told me everything.
'You are worried... scared even.'
'Hard not to be with the threat of a Dalek fleet over Earth. How about you, you seem quite unsettled.' Am I really that easy to read?
'You could say that. But I feel a bit more than unsettled, I think... I think I'm.. scared. I'm scared for them. One shot and that's it, they're gone, no second chances.'
The Doctor held a look of understanding and looked as though he had something else to say but we have once again been interrupted by Jack.
"Hey, don't I get a hug?" I shake my head in disbelief, yet I open my arms wide, signaling for a hug.

"Come here then, lets get this over with."

"I was talking to him." I let out a laugh as I am yet again forced into a hug.

"Welcome home." I was released and Rose took Jacks place.

"Nice shot." I couldn't help but be curious at what this make shift gun was made from. Must be from one of the games.

"Oh, you were lucky. That was just a one shot wonder. Drained the gun of all its power supply. Now it's just a piece of junk." Jack tosses it to the side and I move back next to the Doctor as we gather round the Dalek.

"Oh and (Y/N)."

"Hmmm, what's up Rose?"

"Don't do that again." I can see everyone nod in agreement, her tone was light hearted yet still had a serious undertone.
