Gilbert POV

I walked to the school with a small gift for Y/N. Today's her 17th birthday after all.

My face lightened up as I saw our school. A smile took over my face and I ran to the building.

And there she was. The most beautiful girl, standing at the door.

"Y/N!" I ran to her "Hey."

The girl didn't even look at me. She just hummed and walked to the door.

My instincts took over me and I slightly grabbed her wrist, not noticing it was her left hand. The material, covering her hand slightly shifted, baring the skin.

And I saw it. The letters were intricately gravitated on her soft skin.

My eyes immediately shot up full of shock and amazement.

"I... I... We..." My mouth was so dry that I was amazed I could say a word.

"Look, I'm sorry if this disappointed you. It's fine if we just won't be together. That's fine." The girl started stuttering trying to keep her head turned away from me.

What the hell is she talking about? Doesn't she know that I've liked her for a very long time?

"Now that we know this, we could just stay away from each other and-" Y/N trembled and a small tear fell from her eye.

I quickly and softly grabbed her chin and pulled her in.

Time stopped when our lips touched each other. Our heartbeats became one as the two lips perfectly moved against each other. The raw emotions spilled into the kiss. I grabbed her neck to deepen the kiss.

The girl quickly wrapped her arms around my neck and bit down on my swollen lip. The warm feeling of her breath hit my nostrils, making my body go weak against her.

And then we moved a little bit to part.

"I like you, Y/N. And I will try to make this relationship work." My promise was made as I kissed the inside of her wrist.

"I like you too, Gilbert. And I hope this soulmate thing didn't lie." The girl -who now became my fate- laughed as I pulled her into a hug.

This is a new beginning to our story.
