8. Confessions

" Welcome home, My denial brother.'' Gemma welcomed me after long hours of conversation with Taylor.

" I'm not in denial.'' I defended. '' Sure, that explains your state for the past years.'' She winked at me.

'' Look, I don't want to deal with it right now.'' I groaned and sat next to her on the couch.

'' What happened?'' She asked me, running her hands through my curls.

'' I met her, and we talked. I barely feel anything.'' I said, looking down at my feet.

'' What did she say? we both know she will always do the right thing.'' Gemma defended her.

'' For fuck sake, can you just stop defending her? I know she will never be mine and, I lost her. Taylor will never be mine.'' I yelled at her and stood up. She caught my hand and stopped me.

'' She will be when you are with you.'' She said. I frown at her words.

'' Gemma, I-'' She cuts me off. '' Love, I'm not taking sides here because we both know it's ridiculous and, I want you happy, but as much as I do, I also want Taylor to be happy. If she chooses some other guys over you, be happy too cause love isn't always what you want. It's also what the other person wants.'' She explained.

I sighed and closed my eyes.

" It means a lot to me as well.'' She said.

'' Taylor, It did to me too,'' I confessed. She looked up into my eyes and, I can tell that she wanted something different.

'' Harry, I didn't know how to react.'' She said, sitting in the boot again. '' I knew that cause I didn't know when I found out that I had it for you,'' I confessed. I walked slowly to her and sat next to her.

'' What did Louis say about it?'' I asked her after a brief silence. '' Um, He wasn't mad the way I thought he would be. I don't know what went in his head but, we never really talked about the kiss.'' Taylor said, glancing at me.

'' Funny timing, right?'' I said, looking at the sun.

'' Sure thing.'' She smiled and sighed.

'' Babe, I have one more thing to confess,'' I said, looking at her. I placed my hand on top of her hand that sat between us. She looked down at the hand and back to my face.

'' I never thought I'd say this but, I always want you to be happy. All the joy in the world. I want the dark grey days to sweep away and let the little world of yours screaming with colours.'' I said, smiling at her. She smiled, matching my smile.

'' I want all that happens when I'm with you and, I want to be the person who gives you whatever you want, the happiness and the joy you deserve.'' Her eyes twinkled but, the smile faded. I didn't expect her to be all giggly when I say this because what I told her is something out of my league to ask her. She is way out of my league.

'' I love you, Taylor. It took me so many years to realise and dumb me that I didn't see this coming.'' I said, with no regrets.

'' I know you don't like me that way but, when you said that kiss meant, something I doubt that you don't like me the way I do,'' I said with all my heart and what I felt.

'' I helplessly fell in love with you,'' I said, looking into her eyes. I cup her face slowly and glanced at her lips one more time.

'' I love you and, I would wait for all my life for you to feel the same way about me,'' I whispered and leaned my head on her's.
