The Mechanical Hero (Momo Yaoyorzu x Male OC)

a test of skill

Todoroki is the first one to attack, starting off by launching a line of ice spikes at me. I activate my rocket shoes and fly over it before quickly closing the distance between us. Todoroki makes an attempt to keep this fight at a distance by launching more ice attacks but I manage to punch through them with my gauntlets. Finally managing to close the distance, I hit Todoroki with a rocket boosted punch knocking him back a little. I try hitting him with another punch to finish him off but he dodges and grabs my arm

Todoroki: it's over

Todoroki freezes me completely

Present Mic: could this be over already??

Kaoru: I don't think so

Suddenly, Todoroki's ice starts to heat up to the point of shattering completely, I then punch him in the face knocking him away

Todoroki: w-what?! How?!

Kaoru: it was a close call, but I was able to use the heat generated from my gauntlets when I activate the rocket function. You can't stop me, I will defeat you!

Going on the offensive again, I unleash a relentless barrage of punches that Todoroki is only able to dodge or block. Even still I end up putting a lot of pressure on him

Todoroki: damnit...you're good

Todoroki uses his ice to slip just out of my punching range and create a few ice spikes from the ground which I simply fly over. However, Todoroki makes an ice ramp upwards to hit me with a blast of cold air before punching me back almost sending me out of bounds

Kaoru:*thinks* crap, I need to change my strategy. What else could work....oh!

Todoroki continues shooting ice spikes from out of the ground which I proceed to dodge but rather than jumping up, I leap forward charging energy in both my palms

Todoroki: an energy blast? Fool, I'll just ice wall it

Kaoru: I'm not trying to hit you with it

I raise my arms combining the two gathered energies creating a white ball of energy. I force the ball of energy into the ground creating a mini explosion that kicks up a lot of dust creating a smoke screen, not to fill the whole ring, but enough to conceal what I'm doing

While I'm seemingly stationary, Todoroki shoots a cold blast at the dust cloud only to see that I'm not even there

Todoroki: what?!

Present Mic: woah! Shirogane suddenly disappeared! What could he be planning now?!

Kaminari: huh? Where is he?

Kirishima: not sure, you think he has something planned?

Izuku: knowing Kaoru, he probably does have some sort of plan

The ground starts shaking bellow Todoroki causing him to get confused and frankly a little worried

Todoroki: in the ground?

In an instant, I jump out from below the ground with one arm as a drill and another one as a gauntlet. I then hit Todoroki with another rocket boosted punch almost sending him out of bounds, luckily for him he manages to pop an ice wall behind himself. However he is visibly strained from using so much ice at once

Kaoru: we aren't done just yet!

Creating a small mass of energy with my gauntlet I rush at Todoroki at try to unleash this energy at point blank, but then Todoroki dodges it and ends up behind me

I quickly turn around to shoot another energy blast but with an upward motion from his arm Todoroki makes a large iceberg like attack freezing me within it

Present Mic: I can't believe it! Shirogane is frozen again! This might actually be the end!

Todoroki: you're pretty good, I'll give you that. But we're on two completely different levels. It's over

Kirishima: no...this can't be over, right-?

Uraraka: this is bad. He already was exhausted from using that attack from below

Iida: not to mention that the sheer amount of cold might've weakened his regeneration

Momo: c'mon Kaoru! don't give up!

This sudden outburst draws a lot of attention to Momo

Momo: you can't lose here! Not now! Win this fight!

This starts to cause an uproar amongst the students

Uraraka: yeah! Who cares how strong he is?! You can do it!

Iida: show him your best!

Izuku: let's go Kaoru! Finish it!

Present Mic: looks like this fight is-...wait, no! The ice is glowing!

Todoroki's ice starts to glow a bright orange before shattering, and there I am with glowing red gauntlets and a determined look in my eye

Todoroki: impossible...

Kaoru: in this world nothing is impossible. I'll show you that right now!

I boost forward with my rocket shoes yet again as Todoroki tries to shoot more ice attacks at me. However I simply punch through them all with even more ease this time due to my heated gauntlets. Todoroki takes a step back looking almost like he's ready to give up, but then one glance at his left hand and he remembers his left side

I fire a burning shot at Todoroki which he responds with a fireball attack. The two attacks clash and explode upon contact

Todoroki: you want my best, so here it is!

Kaoru: bring it!

Todoroki activates his left side creating a giant stream of fire at me, using his right side so that he doesn't overheat while I fire a beam of fiery energy. Both moves clash and linger like that for a bit

Present Mic: this is insane! It's like their own fiery passion is clashing together!

Despite to two of us now being on equal footing with our flaming attacks, I feel myself starting to lose consciousness from the sheer heat. Plus there's the matter of me starting to run out of electricity to use my quirk

Kaoru:*thinks* damnit....I'm not gonna let this stop me! Full power!

I squeeze out the last of my energy making my attack so powerful that it explodes along with Todoroki's attack

Izuku: woah....what happened-?

Uraraka: d-did Shirogane win-?

Iida: wait look

The dust settles revealing that both me and Todoroki are still standing. Todoroki doubles over in pain and falls on one knee making everyone think that he's out of the game, but then I fall over, revealing to everyone that the only reason I was able to stay conscious for so long was through sheer willpower

Midnight: he's....he's out! Shirogane is out! Todoroki advances!
